"#4206 Wow, this is a bomb of flavours. I rested it for 30 minutes before giving it a go because it's pretty powerful when poured. Pretty fresh and intense with fruits and light wood and spice. I like the light smoky and marzipan note in the profile. The palate is dry and warm and pretty well balanced. The empty glass has some light coconut and nutty notes."

"This was the best one of the batch. The roasted wood is there from nose to finish mixed with light fruit and spice. Wonderful floral touch to this one. Generally well balanced and the price to quality is very good. "

"I would have loved if this rum had a higher ABV because it's very light in the profile. This also makes it sweeter that it should have been in my mind. Fruity with nice roasted wood. Draws really nice curtains in the glass. The empty glass is really nice and I can pick up some tobacco and citrus."

Etwas Rauch. Toller Port Mourant mit relativ dezentem Fasseinfluss."

"Had a retaste and this time I had the right cigar to go with it and wow what a difference, this is truly a mix well worth a try even though the cigar is slightly expensive and hard to get. Just decided to crack open this wonderful bottle and I regret not having a Cohiba Piramides to go with it. I know it was made to match the Cohiba Siglo VI, but that is too heavy a cigar for me :-) A cooperation between master blender Asbel Morales and cigar sommelier Fernando Fernández and they made something out of this world. A wonderful deep and elegant masterpiece that has a long, warm and elegant balanced finish. A rum worthy of the price tag and then some!"

"And the third in the bunch. This rhum also comes from the island of Martinique and is also a rarity in Germany. The rhum is fine bubbly in the glass and invites with a very fruity nose. The taste confirms the first impression. All components fit well together here, the pepper is somewhat in the foreground. The finish is long, somewhat bitter with grassy notes and some rose petal out the back. The alcohol is well integrated. As a ti-punch this rhum doesn't do so well, kind of like straw and cowshed 😳. I recommend this rhum pure to enjoy, you can drink well as an aperitif or digestive."

"Another older tasting of a pretty good rum. Despite the relative low ABV this rum still packs a lot of flavours. Fruity and fresh with nice spices and lightly roasted and wood notes. I have noted that the empty glass had notes of smoke and marzipan."

"This weekend was very busy because I've been building a new shelf system for my 250+ bottles so my Saturday and Sunday tastings haven't been added :-) Nice and well balanced rum compared to the other one from Jamaica. "

"Thinking about the price you get a good deal here. Very well rounded and intense rum. In order to release its full flavours you need to rest this rum for at least 15 minutes and I fond that it was best after 30 minutes. The oak is taking the front seat here without being too dominant."

"Un rhum qui semble un peu léger au nez avec des fruits tropicaux et du cuir et quelque chose de végétal. La bouche a une belle attaque qui revient sur les fruits avec une petite verdeur en arrière plan. Une finale moyenne avec un peu de massepain. Mieux à la seconde dégustation."

"A Highester monster from South Africa, reminiscent of a Savannah Lord with its berry aromatics. The first sip is very powerful, some water suits it quite well. The red fruits are accompanied by a creamy and creamy texture. Should have tasted once!"

"#4677 22.03.2024 Tasting arranged by Romdeluxe and presented by Parminder S. Bhatia one of the owners of 1423. Nose Intense, light wood, ester, light glue, faint herbs, fruity, pineapple. Palate Medium dry, light wood, faint roasted, spicy, fruity, citrus, pineapple, light glue, ester. Finish Long, medium dry, fruity, citrus, faint caramel, light glue, light wood. Pretty OK Wedderburn though it is pretty young. Was fun to try."

Top review from Djehey:
"Sugar cane, honey, fresh herbs, no doubt about it, this is a Bielle! Unlike some of its overly sweet brothers, with aromas of anise, thyme and licorice, I find this one more balanced and interesting, thanks to lemon zest, green pepper and ginger. The finish seems older, with darker aromas, a little bitterness and an earthy edge. Original finish, but not too much for my taste."

Top review from Rare Akuma:
"First nosing simply ambushes you with black licorice, but give it some time to open up and a more sweet, fruity profile will open up. Apricot fruit cake, soft nougat and lots of dark molasses accompanied by salty seawater. Slightly surprising taste, almost Bajan. Again deep, dark sweetness from the molasses, but this time with fresh coconut and pineapple, lightly spiced. A touch of salt and black olive. Ends in flowers (rosemary to me), followed by woody, chocolaty goodness. Another job well done by The Nectar. Price/quality is high. Little tip: aeration does this bottle well."

"Bought some Montebello Blanc samples from Rhum Attitude. One of them was “The Ovation” which is a limited premium Agricole Blanc made of yellow cane from R 570. It’s slowly reduced to its ABV 50%. Overall a powerful and rather dry rum that’s well balanced with a certain thickness (oily) in the mouth."

"The classic alcoholic falernum and market leader. This one has a much more pronounced taste of lime and funk than many others and comparatively less direct presence of almonds. It can be a bewildering taste at first because it is purely crafted as a rum accompaniment. In cocktails this falernum makes itself clearly known as it has a certain searing quality, but this is entirely appropriate in tiki drinks that need muscle from the non-fruit ingredients to come through. A solid classic and the safe choice for your falernum rum cocktails."
