A great Caroni though very expensive. The tar and rubber are there from opening the bottle and just creeps across the table taking you into Caroni heaven. Lightly fruity with a touch of chocolate and caramel. I love the super long finish.

01.11.2019 Den Dansk Rom & Whiskyfestival This was my first visit to this two day event, where everything is included in the ticket. Also the first event where I have seen so many extremely drunk people. This event usually just has what's considered mainstream products, but luckily my friend had the right contacts so for a premium we had our own little collection to go through. Today I get free a free ticket if I want to attend 😊 Very nice and fruity rum with good balance and a spicy/warm palate. The finish is very long and medium dry with nice fruits. Price to quality is very good.

J’avoue que c’est mon moins bon St Lucie, et je suis un peu decu. On a de beaux fruits bien mûrs, un peu d’ananas et de pomme assez faciles à déceler mais à côté une cire trop présente et des épices timides. Le tout finit un peu tôt.. ça manque de longueur, ça manque de quelques chose cette affaire.

A Berry Caroni bottled for Charles Hofer in Switzerland. A nose marked by wood, charred wood with smokiness and fruitiness too. The palate is open, full-bodied with tropical fruit, wood and an earthy edge. The finish is splendidly long, with aromas that combine and renew themselves. A wonderful surprise! Taste again as soon as possible.

Anotjer nice tasting i went to but didn't have the time to add here until now. The nose is very fruity with nuts and caramel and a hint of grass. The palate tales off where the nose ended and this one should be rested because it actually evolves both on the nose and palate. Again fruity with smoky wood, caramel and vanilla are trailing and at the end a hint of tobacco. The palate is oily and very well balanced. The finish is medium long with wood, dried fruit and caramel.

03.12.2022 Enjoying some samples at home. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Fresh, wood, light roasted, faint caramel, light pineapple, light coconut, faint caramel. Palate Oily, round, wood, light roasted, light caramel, faint chocolate, fruits, naturally sweet, light pineapple. Finish Medium to long, naturally sweet, oily, fruits, faint pineapple, light citrus, faint chocolate, light coconut.

As far as I am not a big fan of solera style, this one is worth trying. Definitely not like Cihuatan or Zacapa - try it - feel it and quickly go away. The color is brown with red tones…between oak and sour cherry. The nose - I can smell wood, chocolate and vanilla..and something like raisins or figs or sour cherry. The taste is quite sharp at first, but after resting in a glass it’s better, but still you will feel it. Anyway I feel tones of wood chocolate vanilla and spices and fruits..well very similar to the nose. The aftertaste is medium-long and warm…more dry than sweet.. After all this isn’t “simple” but really complex and interesting piece of rum.

#4505 02.12.2023 Looking at the price tag you get a lot for your money. It needs to rest for a good while to really open up. Fruity with light roasted wood and floral notes. The palate is lightly dry and warm and fruity. The finish is medium long with a nice floral touch. The empty glass has a light minty note.
