Single Cask Rum BRS
Top review from Zucker und Zeste:
"I found it a little fresher than the Artesanal rum, but this was a little more complex and mature. With both bottlings, it is amazing how ingeniously alcohol can be integrated into a rum."

"05.03.2016 Finally back in Kolding again after some years at Messe C in Fredericia. Much easier to get home when it's within walking distance. Had my good friend from Singapore visit for a month and that ended up in a lot of tasting 😊 Tony brought this one, a bottle birth that became very popular and almost ended its life at the event. Notes. Nose: wood, glue, intense, ester, fruity, banana. Palate: Intense, balanced, wood, ester, banana, citrus. Finish: very long, fruity, pineapple, ester, wood, light smoke, medium dry."

Top review from Joachim Guger:
"Great, typical 1997 Caroni nose. Powerful in relation to the alcohol content. Perfectly balanced. Beautiful mouthfeel, powerful and warm. Very nice, long finish. The prototype of an (excellent) 1997 Caroni. Everything there, no extras."

Top review from Alexander Rasch:
"Spannender Low Ester Long Pond. Hier ist viel los. Warm am Gaumen mit einem fleischig, süßem Profil und dann Kühl im Abgang mit Menthol. Die Nase hat richtig viel Vanille und Frucht. Lecker und einfach zu trinken. Hier kann lange geforscht und gleichzeitig einfach gesippt werden. P/L=👌"

"So the last 5 Enmores from Alex tasted his cool split again. All from the same vintage and quite similar in profile, although there are certain differences in my opinion. As a conclusion for me, not bad, but the profile is currently just not the one that completely picks me up."

Top review from Rowald Sweet Empire:
"Rum for whisky drinkers. Heavy on the American Oak/bourbon cask. But well done. Good and strong flavours. And that from the same stills that give us that sugared Zacapa and Botran. This is so much better."

"13th day in the Christmas calendar. Blind! Easy to assign with the tip on Memorial Day on 12/13: Saint Lucia. But was also clear in taste. Nose: fruity-spicy and spicy with iodine, solvent and pepper. But also lemony-fresh with a touch of tropical fruit, vlt. papaya. Then slight sweetness of honey and lemon marmalade. Out the back anise and mint and wood and some leather. Palate: bitter-hot-salty. Intense, sweet licorice. Nutmeg, clove and that mint again. Hints of grapefruit at the back. In the finish this remains and green tea and licorice join in."

"The nose comes out nice and spicy. Some dry wood mixes with the tart fruitiness of currant and the sweetness of raisin. Some nutmeg, pepper. The spiciness is also present on the palate. Here it goes in right anise and clove, a salty sweetness mixes in, a pleasant slightly bitter note of chamomile tea hangs after. In the finish again chamomile tea and in the back I have the tart sweetness of dried apricot. The is delicious, the alcohol well and pleasantly integrated, a nice flavor profile."

Top review from SaibotZtar :
"Restrained but very tasty nose DOK unmistakable. Typical HD aromas paired with esters. Alcohol barely perceptible. On the palate you can immediately taste the reduction in ABV but still delicious with pineapple, banana and papaya. Some cookie dough and fruit esters. But then disappears from the palate atypically quickly. Good bottling but simply too expensive for what it delivers."

Top review from Rowald Sweet Empire:
"Super fruity flowery stuff. In the nose not unlike Jamaican/Hampden/Long Pond rum but also not a simple copy. More candied in the taste than smell.. Lots of tropical fruits. Some dryness/tannins in the taste. Even a whiff of peat. Sweet cinnamon. I simply love this. Many great flavours. Peppery aftertaste. Again those old Duncan Taylors were "bang for your buck"."

Top review from Frank:
"On the nose I have initially fine tangerine and pineapple. The rum seems fresh, slightly resinous with a touch of vanilla and dry wood. Sweet it seems, like warm cotton candy. In between, also very slightly smoky. On the palate it falls clearly behind the nose. The fresh fruity gives way to tart, bitter-salty. An old rag came to mind. Nutmeg is there and pepper. Bitter, green tea.In the finish remains the bitter note and the tea.The nose I found much better. Despite the over 50% it seems somehow flat"
