"Heute ein Vergleich zwischen zwei Foursquare: 1. Sample X (Kintra) Single Cask, 59,8%: Ein ordentlicher Foursquare. Easy Sipper mit den bekannten typischer Foursquare Aromen. 2. Ferroni Barbade 2012 63,4%: Typisch Ferroni, sehr intensiv. Alles was man auch beim zuvor erwähnten Foursquare an Aromen hat, gibt es hier auch, nur viel intensiver. Der Alkohol ist leider nicht sehr gut eingebunden, trotzdem macht dieser hier Spaß."

"A beautifully rich nose, a spicy, powerful, fruity mouthfeel and a finish that softens on a pastry, gourmet and smoky side. The presence of the barrels (Rye Whisky / Bourbon) is well present and comes to mix with the WP aromas, all with elegance and balance. A very nice work !"

"You can recognize the Saint James character immediately, with its unmistakable woodiness! Another fine rum from Ferroni that will delight lovers of the French West Indies, especially Saint James. On the palate, the viscous texture of Beaume de Venise makes itself felt. However, it retains the very imagery of an old house in autumn and all the smells that go with it."

"Un rhum étonnant, surtout au nez. Ample et profond, avec de l’orange et du cuir. La bouche est tout à fait cohérente avec le nez, un peu plus boisée. La finition au vin jaune se sent un peu sans pour autant prendre le dessus. Une découverte !"

"Un bon kiff ! On est clairement sur du fruit, de la canne et un petit autre chose, que je ne saurai pas définir. Un nez très ouvert, à peine le bouchon retiré, de belles éfluves. Une fin de bouche assez onctueuse."

"Silně alkoholické už ve vůni. Spolu se dřevem, trochou pepř a ovocem. Po napití jdou první sladké tóny lepidla, které na krátký moment utlumí alkohol, ale po tom co ustoupí se začnou objevovat ovocné tóny. Závěr je dlouhý, a několikrát změní chuťový profil. Ke konci je to až vanilková zmrzlina. Zajímavé."

"Great Savanna aroma, but below distillery bottling. Quite brutal in pure tasting, with glue and burnt sugar dominating, and an impression of fruit in the background, but without being able to identify it. A killer in cocktails and even in a ti punch, which raises the note in addition to a very good Q/P ratio."

"8,5:On the nose , we discover a certain finesse as well as a mastery of the aromas of the roasting, despite a power that we already guess is rather substantial. The coffee and cocoa are perfectly black, but are finely ground and surrounded by splashes of fresh peaches or plums. Aeration develops a singular complexity, always nuanced, with relative delicacy. Behind the roasted aromas lies the fiber of a soft white wood, swollen with vanilla and toasted coconut milk. A pleasant harmony reigns, which could evoke a truffle from a great chocolatier. 8,7:On the palate , the power is expressed without delay and reveals the most demanding flavors of this rum. The roasting and a certain metallic aspect then come to the fore, for a good kick in the butt. What this impressive introduction hides is a gluttony and concentration that are just as impressive, with caramelized nuts and red fruits that stick to the palate and never leave. 8,6:The finish is just as sticky, and the sweet spices and molasses, coffee never want to leave us. Another great Ferroni 🙏."

"Difficile à noter car j'avais déjà pas mal déguster, mais globalement un peu déçu par ce jamaicain. C'est très voir trop léger. Une belle entrée de gamme pour ne pas faire peur aux débutants, mais si on compare à un hampden, c'est faiblard. Le prix est par contre très juste. Une entrée de gamme."

"So whisky is my main drink since 2009. The love for rum started a few years ago. Though I love peated whisky...peated rum can feel a bit too artificial at times. Let's see. Not too much peat in the nose. It's more on the back. A bit ashy. Dry coal. But overal quite fresh. Even a bit agricoly. Peach. Wood. Not bad and certainly not onesided. Taste: a more present peat smoky. Dry ash still. Not dominant. Dried apricot. A tad meaty. Leather. So when reading the other notes I was expecting something heavily peated. But compared to Islay whisky this is way more subtle. Nice fruity notes. Dry. More ashy than peat/smoke. Blend probably contains Panama and Barbados rum. It does not lean towards a particular geography. Pretty much an easy yet enjoyable sipper."

"Un rhum extrêmement intéressant car très original du faite de son blend d'une grosse mélasse Jamaïquaine (WP) qui est sublimée de deux pur jus, un de Martinique (colonne du Simon) et un de l'île Maurice (Saint Aubin) tout ça fini en fût de vin cuit Ce blend nous offre donc énormément de fruits passés au solvant (presque eau de vie) avec plein d'épices et un côté funky métallique, les purs jus sont la pour nous donner leurs fraîcheur et leur côtés végétale. La finition en fût de vin cuit vien apporte un côté fermenté et vineux a tout ça, ce qui n'est pas pour nous déplaire. Excellent ! "

"12.05.2019 Enjoying some samples at home. Colour Transparent. Nose Light wood, light medicinal, artificial, faint fruits, light sugarcane, alcohol. Palate Sharp, warm, alcohol, medicinal, medium spicy, light sour, light floral, faint olive. Finish Long and warm, sharp, alcohol, faint floral, spicy, faint sugarcane, faint olive."
