"Guillaume de Roany and âLes Rhums du Sudâ selected a barrel, vintage 2008, from the Barbadian Foursquare distillery. Whereafter they sailed it to Europe and bottled 412 bottles at ABV 61,2%. Overall a delicious rum that canât disappoint anyone liking Bajan rums."

"A barrel of this Montebello rum from the Carrere distillery in Guadeloupe was selected and bought by Guillaume de Roany and âLes Rhums du Sudâ at the distillery in 2021. At this stage it was aged for nearly 6 years which indicates that itâs from the 2015 harvest and vintage. After he bought it, it was filled into a red wine cask and loaded aboard a sailing ship and transported to Europe where it was aged some more before bottled at 48% in 456 bottles then 7yo. The aromas and tastes are quite much like the Montebello 6yo, but smoother and rounder with a shorter finish. Overall a very round, balanced and elegant rum."

"This rum from the ReimonenQ distillery in Guadeloupe is selected by Guillaume de Roany and Rhums du Sud. Itâs a single cask aged for 6 months in cognac casks and limited to 248 bottles. Directly in the nose itâs unmistakable an ReimonenQ. In mouth and at the palate itâs then an explosion of tastes which reminds me of the first ReimonenQ I tasted long ago. I find it quite hard to identify what it tastes, but itâs really a great rum. The finish is short to medium which is the only reason that I stop at 8+. ReimonenQ normally releases their rum at 40%. So after tasting this one I really hope they will release rum at higher ABV. Overall a fantastic Agricole with a little too short finish."
