"02-09.04.2022 This was crazy week, where some friends and I rented a nice summerhouse on Rømø. The plan was to go nuts for a whole week with different rums without going overboard. The final agreement came to 6 rums a day and then enjoy nice walks or ferry rides during the day. Day 5 Notes Very dark in colour. Nose Wood, light roasted, plum, light berries, faint smoke, spice, light orange. Palate Oily, balanced, wood, berries, dried fruit, plum, light tannins, faint chocolate, light coffee. Finish Medium to long, wood, light tannins, prunes, light chocolate, raisin."

"I really like the candied fruit and banana nose, with some sweet spices mingling with the woodiness. There's even a hint of solvent after opening. On the palate, it's a spice-driven rum with some tropical fruit. The finish is medium-bodied, with a hint of licorice mingling with the spices. It's pleasant, but for a Trinidad I expected better."

Palate Light, sweet, light wood, faint roasted, orange, light caramel, spice, dried fruit. Finish Medium long, light wood, sweet, orange, light caramel."

"#4774 10.07.2024 Sampling a bit at home. Nose Light wood, fruity, banana, overripe, faint caramel, light nutts, spice, ester. Palate Oily, warm, round, light wood, fruity, light nutts, light caramel, faint chocolate, faint floral, banana, ester. Finish Medium long, light wood, light caramel, faint citrus, ester, light banana. The empty glass has light herbs and sweet toffee. Needs to rest for a good while to settle properly. I'd prefer this rum in a mixer and that's going to be my next experiment."

"Nice raw rum. The nose is pretty funky with glue and overripe banana and some other fruit, with just a hint of vanilla. Fruity and peppery on the palate. It’s not balanced in my opinion, but helps to understand what a raw Jamaican rum is."

"Als Mitbringsel aus Frankreich geschenkt bekommen. Oft erhält man Rum-Trinker ja eher solche Abfüllungen geschenkt, die ich gerne als Supermarkt-Rum bezeichne, weshalb ich mich über diese Abfüllung besonders gefreut habe. Auch wenn diese Abfüllung nicht in der oberen Liga des Landes auch nur ansatzweise mitspielt, so handelt es sich doch um eine spannende Abfüllung. Blind hätte ich hier vielleicht sogar auf einen Whisky getippt, da das durchaus leichte, rauchige und fast schon süßliche Profil nicht ganz zu dem passt, was man mit Guyana verbindet. Zusammen mit einer leichten Kräutrigkeit ind vielleicht einer Spur Honig schließt sich dann allerdings der Guyana-Kreis doch noch irgendwie."

"Fumé et légèrement fruité et frais au nez à l'ouverture dans le verre, trop alcooleux au bout de qqs minutes avec l'aération. Aucune gourmandise en bouche, que du fumé/épicé. Passable, et encore, uniquement pour les amateurs de ce type de rhum. Finale courte"

"19.12.2020 Nice tasting shortly before Christmas in a private area of the bar. Unfortunately this very old bar closed down in 2023. Notes Medium dark colour. Nose Light wood, ester, fruity, faint nutts, citrus. Palate Unbalanced, light wood, oily, ester, fruit. Finish Unbalanced, wood, ester, pineapple."
