Top review from Jakob:
"Very fresh profile with fruit, wood and subtle spices. On the palate, green tea is added, moreover, the wood notes continue to develop elegantly and also bring subtle caramel, licorice and marzipan to light. Overall, the rum has something light, but without losing depth or complexity - on the contrary, the profile is complex and balanced. Great bottling."

Top review from Gunnar Böhme "Bauerngaumen" 🤓:
"Blind tasting. Nice maltiness on the nose at first, thought of a REV 1994 at first, but the impression quickly faded, so I guessed a Diamond, perhaps from 2002. The alcohol is very well integrated, you can taste a whole bunch of herbs, as well as strong eucalyptus. Although objectively certainly a very good rum at an incredible PLV, I somehow found it difficult to finish the sample. Maybe it's just not my cup of tea."

"I have this 14yo 2003 Diamond from ORS in my glass together with the 13yo ORS and the new 2003 Diamond from Elizabeth Yard. The rums have a very similar profile, the EY has the most intense attack. The 14yo from ORS has the weakest nose so far, the profile that links the 13yo to the EY is barely there. It's a rather faceless profile, some caramel, then some latte. With a little patience I find some berry fruit and dried mango. I would probably take it for a thin, Spanish TDL. In the mouth, the difference to the other two is even more pronounced, there are fresh herbs here that have not yet been found. Although it has the highest alcohol content, the almost 65% is barely noticeable. The finish is the shortest and flattest of this session. I don't think it's really bad, but it doesn't convince me. Perhaps the sample is too heavily oxidized, the other tasting notes read very much like my perception of the EY, but the rum in my glass is a far cry from that. Tonight's order is clear: The Elisabeth Yard, is no Port Mourant but a very good representative from the batch. The 13yo from ORS is the second best of this session, the 14 yo unfortunately can't keep up."

"Not a complexity monster - but nevertheless exciting in its flavor spectrum. Heavy tropical fruit sweetness, light toasted wood influences, caramel and a discreet milk aroma provide sufficient variety and exemplify the diversity of TDL profiles."

"1. Tasting day: nice, not what I expected (I have come to find Spanish style rums underwhelming). There is a strong aroma, and more mouthfeel. Not very much beyond Caramel at first, but ist still satisfies my taste buds. This may be due to the high ABV compared to other more mainstream latin rums I tried, I like it. 2. Tasting: a completely different experience. This time the rum seemed more timid, which is not wrong. But it prevents a higher score. Still it is a nice sipper, one to drink on the balkony until a surprised realization that the glass is empty."
