"A bar in Vienna has an open bottle and I took a sample with me đ Woody, spicy, honey, a little solvent. Let it breathe... Now come more dried fruits, ripe mango and citrus. A melted and heavily roasted bouquet. Good strength. Very spicy/woody in the mouth, perhaps a little thin, but this may be due to the fact that the bottle was opened some time ago. Long, very peppery finish. The highlight of the tasting! đ€© A great, worthy rum full of emotion. A rum I've always wanted to taste. Chantal Comte and Depaz, that makes my eyes light up. đ The book to go with it: Patrick Fermor's "The Violins of Jean-Jaques"."

"A favorite distillery (Bielle) and a favorite IB (Chantal Comte). The only Bielle in the RumX database that was bottled before 2000. Key data that invite you to dream.đ A very fine, fragile nose. Extremely complex. Solvent at the beginning, then pastry, slightly nutty. Slightly animal and the finest wood spice. The 58% is hidden, would rather guess 43%. Wonderful in the mouth. Full, warm, now very spicy and the finest oak. The finish is awesome. First dried apricot and then plenty of pepper. Then pastry and spice, it could be longer. Reminds me of a Liberation chiseled with Neissonian elegance. An absolute highlight đđđđEvery mm is a pleasure."

"Very nice Agricole. Top!!!The nose like a chord on the guitar, harmonious, very complex, but individual facets are difficult to taste out. Perfect in the mouth. The 2001 is my favorite, still absolute recommendation to buy, as this will be a collector's item in a few years."

"Beautiful nose. Oak dominates, followed by a great glue note and then fruit. Balanced, alcohol well integrated, fresh. In the mouth then a wild ride. Very peppery and powerful. Balanced again on the finish. Very good overall. A very good Agricole, but lacks the brilliant elegance of its two brothers. And meanwhile there is an abundance of similar Agricoles of comparable quality."

"21.11.2020 Only have notes on this one. Nose: wood, roasted, raisin, citrus, fresh, vanilla. Palate: oily, wood, light smoke, raisin, citrus, spicy, grass. Finish: medium long to long, wood, vanilla, dried fruit, grass. Medium dry."

"#4548 14.01.2024 Relaxing at home while watching the coronation of our future King. This is a very well balanced release and fully lives up to the L'Or name. Fruity and fresh with well integrated wood and spices. The palate is oily and has a nice floral touch. The finish is long and warm with light grass and some grassy notes. Draws really nice curtains in the glass and the empty glass has some light licorice and herbal notes."
