"Quite solid continental Caroni, fortunately bottled at high alcohol strength. Typical Caroni profile, compared to the tropical representatives, this bottling lacks a little balance, because the heavy wood sweetness is hardly found. Who likes Caroni, is well supplied here, but to the absolute top class is definitely missing some points."

"A zase nové plnění, tentokrát od Samaroli. Není to těžké caroni, ale ani lehké bez technických tónů. Ve vůni i v chuti je kromě benzínové techničnosti, kůže, medicinálních tónú a gumy jasně cítit i jemná nakouřenost jak ve vůni, tak v chuti."

"This is not a cheap bottle but it fully lives up to the price. The nose is that of a fresh full bodied rum with lots of candied fruit as well as vanilla and a hint of mint. The palate is smoky and woody with nice fruits and spices trailed by leather, caramel and a light earthy and caramel note. The finish is long and woody with spices and tropical fruits and a hint of tobacco. Would have loved a higher ABV. Remember to rest for at least 15 minutes before nosing and sampling :-)"

"Masterclass Samaroli pour le Rhum Club Paris / Du fruit rouge, de la banane et un léger menthol au nez. Hyper gourmand. En bouche on perd beaucoup de fruit pour se retrouver sur un blend alliant menthol et boisé un peu trop réduit pour moi."

"A very nice demerara from Samaroli. I would have loved a higher ABV though because I think it would have benefitted the release. The nose is lightly woody with vanilla, pineapple, caramel as well as a hint of mint and herbs. The palate is lightly dry and medicinal with dried fruit, spices, nuts, licorice as well as a hint of flowers and mint. The finish is medium to long and lightly dry with wood, spices and dried fruit. Price to quality is pretty good."

"22.08.2020 A nice tasting with only Samaroli and what an evening. Notes Light in colour. Nose Intense, light wood, faint smoke, flue, light floral, cherry, dried fruit. Palate Warm, mild, light wood, light roasted, light floral, light glue, faint medicinal, tea. Finish Medium long, light wood, citrus, light medicinal, spice, light vegetal, faint licorice."

"#4530 16.12.2023 I think the price doesn't match what you get but that's how is is sometimes. Medium fruity rum with some natural sweetness to it. The palate is light and well rounded with fruits and caramel. The finish is short to medium maybe because of the ABV that I would have loved higher. Draws nice curtains in the glass. The empty glass has a faint rubber note."

"02-09.04.2022 This was crazy week, where some friends and I rented a nice summerhouse on Rømø. The plan was to go nuts for a whole week with different rums without going overboard. The final agreement came to 6 rums a day and then enjoy nice walks or ferry rides during the day. Day 6 Notes Light wood, faint smoke, fruity, light citrus, faint pineapple, faint chocolate. Palate Round, light, light wood, fruity, light citrus, dried fruit, light coffee. Finish Medium to long, light wood, faint chocolate, dried fruit, faint caramel."
