"I wanted something special for my 600th tasting. Et voilà: a 41-year-old PM from 1974! I am greeted by a deep, dark, molasses-like aroma on the nose. Definitely Guyana. After standing for a while, I sip the glass in awe - oh yes, an absolutely worthy aged rum. Wood, leather, spice, molasses, hardly any fruit, barely noticeable alcohol, but still enough power. So blindly I would have guessed a really old KFM (are there any before 1991?). I hope my naivety is forgivable. But when do you ever have a 74 PM in your glass?"
