Top review from new world rum club:
1st Caroni and 1st tasting on RumX. Very complex, needed few drops of water to reduce intensity and definitely need a few more tries to pick out all the flavours. I feel rating this rum on a 1-100 is unfair by itself but I’ll learn my own way of giving a score with more reviews. Definitely not put off by the Caroni HTR and looking to delve more into this world. Bring it on…!

Top review from Decky Hicks Doughty:
A great example of cask strength Jamaican rum that can stand up to a little water, if you're not ready for anything that robust. I also tried it mixed with Coke. Glad I did. One of the best rum & Cokes I've ever tasted. Really brought out the Jamaican funk. Batch 1 - Bottle 162 of 426
Top review from cigares :
A nice nose with tropical fruits, very ripe banana, cinnamon and a well integrated metallic side. The metallic side takes over in the mouth and it's a bit disturbing, but the fruits are also there. The finish is long and rather nice but when the fruits go away there is still the metallic side.A good rum, but not a Caroni I would recommend, there are so many magical ones.To be tasted again with some oxidation, sometimes miracles happen.

#4279 05.10.2023 Swapped this sample with Thunderbird and I like it. Compared to the price tag you get a lot for your money. Medium fruity and fresh with a spicy side. The palate is warm and has a light minty note to it. The finish is long and warm with roasted wood notes and a spicy touch. Draws really nice curtains in the glass. The empty glass is nice and has some mint, raisin and a light floral note.
Top review from cigares :
A nose of dried fruit, vegetal rope, spices, pastry and light rubber. I don't find the complexity of the nose on the palate, as the alcohol quickly takes over. But there's also a hint of yellow fruit, vegetal rope and always a little pastry, especially on the finish, which is long on a mixture of wood and vegetal rope that's a little thin.

Well, that was really a miracle bag for the Underdog Split #3. As I had two bottles of it to split, I noticed when filling that one bottle was clear, the other already had recognizable barrel deposits. That's why I tried both at the same time. The one with the fuzz in the bottle was good, the other was strange. Not really a ripper, sorry. But with cola it's quite drinkable for a quick buzz.
