"great sipping Hampden. nice complexity... When it comes to 92 Hampdens, this is one of the few that I like. But it doesn't come close to the Rum Nation or the CDI. Overall a little too herbal and sour."
Trinidad No. 3
Top review from Kevin Sorensen 🇩🇰:
"Another rekindling at the GRF and I really like this profile. ----- Back on track with a nicely balanced release with all the right flavours. Love the chocolate and raisin that blends well with a light coffee note in between the tar and rubber."
Guyana Ed. 3
Top review from Oliver:
"Excellent Demerara rum! The nose is complex and concentrated, and really makes you want more. On the palate you will then find the perfect blend of delicate bitter notes, spice and dark chocolate. Absolute recommendation!"
Jamaica No. 10
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"Got this sample for free from RumX. It’s a pot still Clarendon EMB distilled in 1995 whereafter it’s aged in an American oak barrel for 26 years, of which 23 years is in the tropics, before being bottled in just 111 bottles at 63,6%. Overall a great rum but with a little bit too much alcoholic taste."

Top review from cigares :
"A rum tasted at WLP. And tasted again 20 months later. A powerful nose that remains balanced, pastry-like and makes you want to go on. The palate starts out very well, but retracts rather quickly, the aromas narrow, become acqueous and the finish is logically disappointing, short and not very sapid."

Top review from RumTaTa:
"Second tasting: Uiuiui is the sharp on the palate, no wonder at almost 70%!But convinced me no longer so, since I know better Uitvlugt Rums(-2)Very interesting nose, similar to cherry liqueur and quite closed. On the palate very intense with a nice marzipan note, cocoa and barrel notes. The finish harmonizes with the impression on the palate and is not too bitter.Good intensity without being too bitter or woody. I like very much."

Top review from RumTaTa:
"Shortly after opening and pouring, the whole room smells of glue! This rum cannot be mistaken for Hampden! It is not easy to "smell past" the esters. Ripe pineapple and marzipan are definitely behind it. Slightly weaker vanilla, pastry and yoghurt also yellow fruits. On the palate, I find the rum much more balanced! The barrel and roasted aromas are added here, as well as a salty note and olives, which form a nice interplay with the fruity sweetness. I also really like the seamless transition to the almost endless finish. The salty note picks up speed here. An excellent, intense, "thoroughbred" Hampden. According to the BAT blog, Hampden produced the Mark OWH in 2013. However, this rum is definitely one of the <>H"

Top review from cigares :
"Tasted at J. B. Labat and at the German Rum Festival in parallel with cask #10. A rather light, machine-shop nose with quite a lot of fruit. Like a buttery side too. The palate is lively, but like the nose, rather balanced between machine shop notes and fruit. The finish is long and delicious, as is the empty glass. A rum with fairly few rough edges, but rather in balance. A better nose than cask #10, but the palate is far less interesting."

Top review from Oliver:
"Very pleasant mint notes on the nose. Intense, spicy and some tropical fruit. Balanced yet complex on the palate. Pleasant bitterness of black tea. Little fruit and rather dry spicy. I like very much!"

Top review from Thunderbird:
"CoR-Tasting GRF13: Sehr minziger frischer TDL mit einigen Kräuter-Noten. Alkohol ist deutlich spürbar und präsent. Insgesamt eine ansprechende Abfüllung, die aber nicht an die 2001-2003er Jahrgänge herankommt. Man hätte ihm etwas mehr Zeit zum entwickeln veben sollen"

Top review from SaibotZtar :
"Relatively poorly integrated alcohol. Somewhat bitter .... Banana, pineapple and a few ester notes make themselves felt in the nose and on the palate .... but they don't make themselves comfortable. Tastes somehow-->like intended but not really "successful". Quite ok no more no less."
Guyana Ed. 5
Top review from Jakob:
"Successful selection - typical profile for continental aged rums from the Single Wooden Pot Still of Port Mourant. At the beginning peanut, toast, plus fresh with citrus notes and yellow fruits. The palate adds an elegant sweetness that aromatically reminds me of dried fruit, syrup and a hint of marzipan. In addition, the PM-typical wood influences with anise - all in all, a coherent bottling, which nicely shows the potential of long aging time for the continental aged PMs."

Top review from Dr.Django:
"This Hampden is not bad, but for me it is an absolute disappointment! Smells and tastes like a Hampden light. It fails to deliver, especially on the palate and in the finish. The alcohol is poorly integrated."
Guadeloupe No. 2
Top review from RumTaTa:
"Second tasting: I like the beautiful fruitiness and spiciness better than last time. However, the alcohol is too prominent for "very good". (+2) Tasted together with Colous of Rum Guadeloupe No. 3. The nose of both is almost identical. This one is a touch less powerful. On the palate, this one is a shade stronger. But it lacks corners and edges. It doesn't really convince me, I've had more interesting 1998 Guadeloupe in my glass. Both bottlings seem very similar to me."

"Got a sample of this rum for free from RumX. Long Pond is known for its funky and high-ester style of rum. It’s pot still distilled in 2001 whereafter it has been continentally aged in an ex-rum barrel for 21 years before bottled at cask strength in 245 bottles at 56,4%. Overall a fruity and funky rum."
Guadeloupe No. 3
Top review from Oliver:
"Very pleasant aromatics. Roasty, leather and some cotton candy. Fruit is rather restrained. On the palate creamy, spicy and a heavy sweetness. On the palate then rather dry and a very slight bitterness. I like it very much!"
Jamaica No. 11
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"Got a sample of this rum for free from RumX. Long Pond is known for its ultra-funky, high-ester style of rum, but this one is a VRW which marks quite low esters. It was pot still distilled 2000 whereafter it was continental aged for 21 years in an ex-rum barrel before bottled in 220 bottles at 56,4%. Overall a very light low esters Long Pond that tastes much better (more) than its aromas."

Top review from zabo:
"Geschmacklich liegt dieser Foursquare eher auf der herben Seite, die typischen Foursquare Noten sind klar sowohl an Nase und Gaumen erkennbar. Ich persönlich finde diese Abfüllung nicht ganz gelungen, da er wie schon gesagt mir ein wenig zu herb ist."
Guyana No. 6
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"Got this sample for free from RumX. This rum comes from the since year 2000 closed Uitvlugt Distillery and the Port Mourant Double Wooden Pot Still which today is moved to the Diamond Distillery, the only distillery in Guyana nowadays. It was distilled in 1997 and was first tropical aged for 2 years in an former bourbon barrel whereafter it was continentally aged for 21 years in an former cognac barrel. Finally it was bottled in 2022 in 262 bottles at 53,4%. Overall an elegant and round rum where the taste of grapefruit dominates."

"Got a sample of this rum for free from RumX. It’s a 23yo pot still rum distilled in 1998 continental aged in an ex-Rum barrel whereafter it’s bottled at cask strength in just 163 bottles at 52,7%. Overall a fruity, soft and round rum. Not a typical Long Pond."
High Ester Rum (13. German Rum Festival) DOK
Top review from cigares :
"A rum tasted at the GRF in 2024, CoR masterclass. A nose of esters, dried herbs, licorice and stewed fruit. The attack on the palate is lively, but the aromas are rather dark, with stewed fruit, prunes and overripe pineapple. The finish is too short. As with the CoR 62.9%, this rum doesn't really suit me, even though it has its qualities. I find it more balanced but also less interesting."
Fiji
Top review from Jakob:
"It has all the characteristics of the extremely intense 2001 vintage, but thanks to the comparatively low strength, the rum is not overpowering, but rather invites you to discover the aromas. Due to the significantly lower strength, there is of course a lack of intensity here and there, but the rum does not appear really thin. Not enough for the absolute top class from 2001, but in my eyes the rum is nowhere near as clearly inferior as the current overall rating suggests - but of course the same applies here: De gustibus non est disputandum."
Pedro Ximénez (Single Cask Jamaican Rum) DOK
Top review from cigares :
"Un rhum dégusté au GRF en 2024, masterclasse CoR. Un nez sec avec des esters mais aussi des herbes sèches et un côté sucré qui vient sans doute du PX. L’attaque est douce en bouche, les esters sont là mais pas trop vifs. La finale est un peu courte. Un rhum un peu étrange qui n’est pas mauvais mais qui ne me plaît pas non plus."
Barbados No. 18
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"Got this sample for free from RumX. It’s a mix of column and pot still distilled rum that’s aged for 11 years, first for 5 years tropical and then 6 years continental. It has spent 5 years in an ex-bourbon barrel and 5 years in an ex-whisky barrel. Finally it was bottled in 259 bottles at 61,1%. Overall an OK rum, but with too strong alcoholic taste, that’s not near Foursquare’s own bottlings."
Oloroso (Single Cask Jamaican Rum) DOK
Top review from zabo:
"O.k. o.k., this one is a lot better than the one with the Madeira finish. CoR has probably just got its act together. The finish doesn't overpower everything here. The smell is rather dominated by the glue. In the mouth, it comes across as sharp-edged and the alcohol is not really well integrated. A rum with a certain oomph in the mouth. But much better than the Madeira. An unpleasant acidity emerges again in the finish."
