"I'm not an unconditional Cuba fan. Nevertheless, I give their rum a chance every now and then. And this time they managed to convince me halfway. The mixture of sweet red fruit and tart leather/wood is quite appealing and harmonizes well. If it weren't for the strong sweetness, as if a light dosage had been added! This makes it lose something. The longer it lingers in the mouth and later in the finish, the sweetness decreases significantly, which makes it much more pleasant again. Overall, quite a good bottling and not too woody despite its age."

"03.01.2020 In a cottage with friends for the weekend with a few bottles of rum. Notes: Light to medium dark colour. Nose: Wood, solvents, citrus, anise, nutmeg, light caramel. Palate: Wood, spicy, dried fruit, vegetal, herbs, leather, faint coffee. Finish: Medium to long, warm, wood, raisin, citrus, medium dry, coffee."

"This is a nice and kind of light on the typical Caroni notes and still intense at the same time. The nose herbal with banana and light notes of wood, rubber, tobacco and polish. The palate continues on the herbal note with some banana, nuts and vanilla trailed by wood, rae and runner. I get light bitter and salty note there as well. The finish is long and has wood, tar and vanilla to it."

"Bei den letzten Sonnenstrahlen kurz einen kubanischen Nachmittag eingelegt. Zu einer guten Zigarre wurden der RX22145 und der RX22444 parallel verkostet. Für mich persönlich wirklich kein großer Altersunterschied heraus zuschmecken. Beide solide Cubaner, die sehr gut zu einer Zigarre passen, aber leider nicht in der Gruppe der Spitzenrums landen. Aber denoch solide Abfüllungen die sich auf Augenhöhe bewegen."
