Nose : very similar to Velier Long Pond 2019 STCE to me Taste : dried fruit and a bit of oak at the end but not too much for virgin cask. Conclusion: single cask, non chill filtered, natural colour, 7 yo tropical aging, 50 plus abv for 55€ that's one of the best value I've seen in a long time, please more of this !!!

#4596 02.02.2024 Relaxing at home while preparing for a triple tasting next week, phew that's going to be a tough one. Not too bad a rum but I think the ABV could have been better integrated. Nose Wood, light roasted, dried fruit, floral, light caramel, faint medicinal, light chocolate. Palate Wood, roasted, fruity, light nutts, chocolate, light caramel, light medicinal. Finish Medium long, wood, herbal, light nutts, light caramel. The empty glass has some tobacco and faint coffee.

Brussels Rhum Festival 2024 Very fresh nose, then fruity and vanilla. Beautiful natural sweetness in the mouth, which is mild and then changes to spicy. Finish slightly alcoholic then long finish with herbal notes

Bei Sönke probiert und von der Tiefe eines so jungen Rums aus Ecuador überrascht. Durfte netterweise ein kleines Sample schnorren. Nase: interessant und gar nicht so leicht zu entschlüsseln. Hat für mich zunächst etwas von Küchenrolle, Karton und jungem, noch frischen Geäst. Leicht süßlich, mit grünem Apfel ist er doch eher auf der pflanzlichen Seite. Getrocknete Kamille mit Moos und süßen Kräutern. Hinten noch etwas Kakaopulver. 7,7 Gaumen: ebenfalls anders, intensiv und interessant. Zunächst süßlich-nussig, Tonkabohne und Pekannuss. Dazu Kakao und leicht schokoladig oder auch Nougat. Zudem spielt etwas Liebstöckel hinein, bevor Kamille, Kräuter und Herz übernehmen. Tatsächlich finde ich Geranie am Ende. Hatte so etwas noch nicht, bin angenehm überrascht. 8,1

The polish that is felt in the aroma is practically not reflected in the taste at all. The taste is relatively sweet / fruity with a slight woody note ... there is something that I can't identify. The finish is long.

#4576 26-27.01.2024 Hanse Spirit I would use this one for a mixer because it's just too edgy to be a good sipper in my mind. Nose Intense, fruity, glue, floral, light sugarcane.
