Plantation Fiji Islands
Top review from zabo:

"RumX Fiji Crosstasting April 2024 Tasted separately from the official line up. Currently in fourth place among the 2001 Vintages. This bottling has nothing to hide and comes across as a well-rounded and very complex overall package."

Top review from Thunderbird:
2004
Top review from mto75:
"the 16 years in American oak are already very noticeable on the nose. With the oak barrel then also comes the accompanying vanilla flavor, plus some caramel. The alcohol also stings a bit on the nose. On the palate, vanilla, dark chocolate, roasted flavors. Impression as with the Nobilis (No.16) 2004 South Pacific: unfortunately rather below average and far from the great 2001 bottlings."

"#4735 05.06.2024 A nice afternoon with Michael and a few good rums. Nose Fresh, intense, light wood, peach, fruity, herbs. Palate Fresh, intense, light roasted wood, fruity, herbs, light chocolate, light citrus, light honey. Finish Medium to long, warm, spicy, medium dry, fruity, faint chocolate. The empty glass had nice herbal notes to it. Very well balanced considering the age of the rum."
Plantation Fiji Islands 2007 (Finished in Ferrand 10 Générations cask)
Top review from Jakob:
"The 2007 vintage is dominated by tropical fruits, which gallantly play to their strengths; they are joined by light sweetness of pastry and sugar as well as floral aromas. All of this plays out well on the palate, and the alcohol is well integrated. The fruit melange is very appealing and offers complexity, light tobacco aromas, a bit of tart spiciness and toasted aromas from the barrel. Overall, however, the spectrum remains a bit too straightforward, the present counterpoints to the herbal-fruity freshness and thus the other aromatic influences that could provide additional excitement are missing. However, this remains almost the only flaw in this rum, which basically knows how to convince absolutely."

"#4551 15.01.2024 Sitting at home relaxing enjoying that my last visits to the hospital for scans etc. came back without any comments so thus far very positive. When this bottle was released the price tag was extremely good compared to what you get. Medium fruity with light roasted wood notes and esters. There is a medicinal touch to the profile but in a good way. The palate is well rounded and oily with some anise in the back. The finish is long with a herbal touch. The empty glass has some licorice, caramel and faint strawberry."
Wild Nature Series N°1
Top review from zabo:
"Edit Edit: had another one in the glass at the Swell Masterclass. A really great Fiji. Edit: In the comparison test with other Fiji, this one is in the top third in my opinion and is one of the best Fiji bottlings I've had in a glass. Evaluated quickly when bottling. I like it quite well at first glance. But will have to compete against other Fiji again."

Top review from TheRhumhoe:
Dead Reckoning Rum Mutiny - South Pacific
Top review from Dr.Django:
"Second tasting, -2 points. A good rum that is surprisingly fruity and sweet! The medicinal sweetness always resonates and lacks some complexity. The finish gets a little dirty with gum and burnt sugar, ensnared in a coat of floral honey-melon syrup. Every sip is fun and the Fiji becomes more and more pleasing. Unfortunately, the alcohol is not very well integrated, which costs a lot of points."
Plantation Extrême No. 2
Top review from Kevin Sorensen 🇩🇰:
"I just returned from a luxury tasting I was invited to and I'm actually a bit tipsy this time because all the rums had a high proof. This tasting was Plantation extreme only and this is the fifth one of the six. This just keeps getting better. Some of the best Fiji has to offer and then matured to perfection by Plantation. Sweet and soft bodied rum very well balanced with the proof. Typical Jamaica style rum and you won't regret a sip or two. Price to quality is good. "

Top review from DomM:
"Nice and classic Fidji nose. Delivering all you would want around plastic, dirt, some vetegal and fruity notes. Similar picture on the palate, yet less fruity with more sweetness than expected. Texture is very nice and creamy. Good stuff, only complexity on the palate could be a bit higher."

Top review from Jakob:
Planteray Fiji Pot Still Foundation

"#4934 Whisky Live in Paris 27.09.2024-30.09.2024. Another great event meeting a lot of RumX new and old friends. This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time. Nose Light wood, faint smoke, fruity, light ester, spice, light banana, faint floral. Palate Round, light, light wood, faint roasted, fruity, light ester, medium dry, faint cherry, faint rubber, faint leather, light spicy. Finish Medium long, round, fruity, light cherry, banana, faint smoke, faint rubber, light spicy."
The Nectar Of The Daily Drams
Top review from Jakob:
"Again a great bottling from Fiji. Fiery, spicy, heavy, fresh - here happens a lot in the glass and although constantly flashing new flavor nuances but everything always remains in balance. Also reveals the heavy tea notes from the 2001 Vintage, which I personally like very much. Not quite at the height of the best representatives of the South Pacific distillery, both aromatically and in the alcohol integration are still air to the top - but still a great rum."
Single Cask Rum
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"Overall a very interesting rum. Hadn’t expected something like this from Fiji. Tasted this at a special tasting at Rum Cane Society (CRS) in Stockholm, which is the rum bar in Europe with most different rum bottlings. The Cane Bottling Co. is a Swedish IB founded and owned by Lars Renbjer and Niklas Blomquist, the latter co-owner of CRS. The rum is a 21yo Pot Still blended with some column still from the South Pacific Distillery in Fiji. It’s tropical aged for 7 years on former bourbon casks and thereafter continental aged for 14 years more."
Single Cask Rum
Top review from Thunderbird:
"This Fidji is initially impetuous on the nose (esters, chemistry) but settles down after a while and fruits, tea and sweet almonds appear. On the palate, a heavy sweetness at first, followed by a vegetal and spicy side. Some tart tropical fruit is also present and the alcohol is not perfectly integrated. Dark chocolate with roasted almonds and tea are noticeable on the finish. A good Fidji."

Top review from TheRhumhoe:
The Royal Cane Cask Company Fiji SPD
Top review from Gunnar Böhme "Bauerngaumen" 🤓:
"It's getting better and better! If the El Salvador from Royal Cane has just cut a fine figure, the Fiji goes one better! Screw the fact that it has nothing of a Fiji, it's nice and strong and just tastes good. (Although I have to admit that, unlike the El Salvador, it would be better suited to a winter evening)."
Wild Series Rum No. 56 Fiji (13. German Rumfest)
Top review from zabo:
"I'm torn as to how good I really think it is. From memory of the previous Fiji from the vintage I had in my glass, this one from the Wild Series lives up to its name. It is wilder than the others. I'll probably compare it with others again when I get the chance."
S.B.S Fiji
Top review from Kevin Sorensen 🇩🇰:
"Another retaste and it lost a few points, but still a great rum looking at the price tag. Price to quality you get a lot for your money. Fruit and esters combined with a nice spicy and warm palate. I get a light honey note on the nose and palate as well as a hint of mint on the finish. Really nice rum."

Top review from Galli33:
"Very delicious rum! Full load of esters and fruits with a cool fresh note! The alcohol is integrated well. The finish is long, dry, estery, fruity just delicious! The finishing has a high impact on this one! A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one!"

Top review from Rowald Sweet Empire:
"Super fruity flowery stuff. In the nose not unlike Jamaican/Hampden/Long Pond rum but also not a simple copy. More candied in the taste than smell.. Lots of tropical fruits. Some dryness/tannins in the taste. Even a whiff of peat. Sweet cinnamon. I simply love this. Many great flavours. Peppery aftertaste. Again those old Duncan Taylors were "bang for your buck"."

Top review from Thunderbird:
"On the nose I found him still quite versatile in terms of fruit, smoke, roasted aromas and something artificially sweet! On the palate he then loses noticeably. Too one-dimensional it tastes predominantly of smoke, burnt espresso and slightly bitter roasted flavors! Everything else falls more or less by the wayside! Too bad!In the finish, these flavors continue!"

Top review from Frank:
"First impression at the HanseSpirit:Fulfills exactly the expectations I had and whose fulfillment I had hoped.Fruity, oily, pleasant workshop aromas...Nachtasting follows. So, and now again in peace at home:Nose: totally pleasant, spicy-fruity, with this special oily texture, which together with pencil shavings and some varnish or glue reminiscent of the fumes from a precision engineering workshop. Interesting also an intense yogurt note that underscores the subtle fruity sweetness. In fruit here gooseberry with lime together with canola honey. The over 60% is very well integrated here. 86Palate: initially that oily, artificial attack again, slightly salty-bitter, with pencil mien. Slightly resinous and something like polish to it. The fruit is again reminiscent of gooseberry, this time with lime zest. Also, the yogurt note comes through clearly again. I really like it. 84Must correct the rating from yesterday significantly upwards. Now 85 instead of 80. Very nice Fiji profile!"
