"#4857 Whisky Live in Paris 27.09.2024-30.09.2024. Another great event meeting a lot of RumX new and old friends. This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time. Nose Wood, fruits, light dried fruit, light coffee, chocolate, light caramel, spice. Palate Round, balanced, medium spicy, light wood, spice, dried fruit, light caramel, natural sweetness, light dry. Faint cherry. Finish Long and warm, round, light oily, wood, light roasted, light chocolate, light nutts, light cherry. A very nice rum that you should give a try if you get the chance. It needs to rest for a few minutes while you warm it in your hand to fully open up."

"Au nez, c’est un rhum surprenant : très vif à la fois boisé et acidulé. Le goût n’est pas désagréable. Mais la finale laisse un goût terreux et lui aussi boisé. Ce n’est pas mon rhum favori. Mais c’est une expérience intéressante."

"Velmi velmi zajímavé plnění. Podle vůně, ve které jsem cítil jednohnačně sladký profil - karamel, hnědý cukr a trochu dřeva mě v chuti velmi překvapil ovocń podtón. Abv je uz opravdu vyšší, nicméně hezky integrované a vytváří dlouhý a hřejivý závěr."

"Not necessarily very complex but very pleasant. The alcohol is well integrated and makes the whole intense without being heady. Aromas rather on the freshness and the sweetness, with a small lime that enhances the whole. The end of mouth is not very long but presents wood and vanilla in softness."

"Už když jsem přivonel, došlo mi, že takovýhle styl rumu jsem ještě nepil…ve vůni cítím něco jako citrusy dřevo..ale taky to muže být rašelina…trochu zemitosti také. Zaujala mě barva..je pro mě trochu nezvykle měděná… bez koukání mě napadlo, že v to cítím něco z Flor de caňa, ale nedokázal jsem to zařadit ani do země. Rum mi chutnal, vzorek byl fajn, ale celou láhev bych nechtěl."

"Velmi prijemny rum v plneni pro cz/sk komunitu , ve vuni a rovnez v chuti jde krasne citit finischovani po Clynelish whiskey , jsem hodne udiven ze se to az tak hodne propsalo do chuti. Zabavny silny rum, za mne stoji za nakup."

"As far as I am not a big fan of solera style, this one is worth trying. Definitely not like Cihuatan or Zacapa - try it - feel it and quickly go away. The color is brown with red tones…between oak and sour cherry. The nose - I can smell wood, chocolate and vanilla..and something like raisins or figs or sour cherry. The taste is quite sharp at first, but after resting in a glass it’s better, but still you will feel it. Anyway I feel tones of wood chocolate vanilla and spices and fruits..well very similar to the nose. The aftertaste is medium-long and warm…more dry than sweet.. After all this isn’t “simple” but really complex and interesting piece of rum."

"This was another huge surprise. What I really liked about this rum was the light smoky feel from nose to finish. Fruity with light spices, honey and tobacco. It has to rest for a while or the ABV will bite you and take a few hairs up your nose, but once ready enjoy 😂 Price to quality is very good in my mind. Surprise if the evening for all of us."

"09.11.2019 Had a nice evening with friends and bottles wrapped in tinfoil ☺️ Notes. Medium dark in colour. Nose: fresh, wood, spice, medicinal, caramel,orange, raisin. Palate: round, fresh, herbs, floral, caramel sweet, wood, medium dry. Finish: medium long, lightly dry, herbal, wood, dried fruit, light caramel."

"Retasting and it lost some points 😊 I'm still amazed at how good CDI is at creating rum bottlings that are so different from each other. A well balanced and pretty complex rum for its age and all natural without anything added. Fruity and definitely a smoky rum well worth a try."
