"8,2:On the nose, there could be found full and intense aromas of fresh sugar cane, mild spices, caramel and vanilla weaven with toasted oak, volcanique, floral notes(Canary islands are volcanos) linger underneath.Coffee/cocoa , banana, tropical fruits burst out in the end. 8:On the palate it is mouth-filling and intense with strong spicy notes, slightly fruity with hints of wild behind it with notes of sugar cane, honey and some vanilla intertwined with orange peel and peaches and of course volcanique notes that burst out secondly .It is tasty and very balanced, soft and powerful at the same time. Oak is completed by caramel and a hint of smoke that lingers on. Exceptionally harmonious rum inspite of the great complexity of aromas. 8:The finish is long and sweet, syrupy like with some woodiness, vanilla, honey and sugar cane juice, banana completes the finish.."

"The oak is very dominant in this 30+ year rum. In fact so dominant the most other flavours are covered up and it appears light. There is a bit og orange and caramel in there as well. Not a bad rum as such but the price is too high. "

"A very nice Spanish rum from a destillery making rum since 1884 and has been delivering to the Spanish Royal family since 1892. A ver refined rum with a nicely rounded palate. Clear taste of molasses, spices and tobacco. Very good at the price tag. "

"Goldbraun Geruch Süß nach Karamell, Toffee, Waldhonig und Alkohol. Zudem fruchtige Aromen, Papaya und Mango. Geschmack Süß, rund und vollmundig mit viel Honig und Melasse, zudem Karamell, Toffee, Tabak, Holz und Alkohol. Abgang Mittellang, weich, bleibt süß und angenehm alkoholisch mit Aromen von Toffee und Holz. Fazit: Ich habe auf Teneriffa 25,30€ für die 0,7 Liter-Flasche bezahlt. Dafür ist der Rum sagenhaft gut und ich stimme allen zu, die sagen, dass er besser ist als der 18-jährige. Der Rum schmeckt vollmundig und alkoholisch und nicht wie ein Rum, der von Fassstärke auf 40% herunter verdünnt worden ist."
