"Edit: I like it much better as a mixer than pure. Can be used both in the MaiTai and as a CubaLibre I was actually expecting more funk and something a bit more unusual. It's still pretty wild and boisterous. This was another one where I tried to experiment a little with adding extra water. I have to admit that it is a lot more pleasing and becomes a solid, tasty sipper. This time there's an extra point after the decimal point for the funny label and the unusual idea."

"Könnte man blind als Foursquare oder Belize tippen, moscatel cask ist erkennbar und bringt etwas extra Frucht mit aber insgesamt auch wieder leider zu scharf und zu Alkoholisch... Schade. Hätte ich mir mehr von erwartet."

"I kind of like Chalong Bay. I discovered the first rum under this name on vacation years ago and have followed the development with interest ever since. Nice guys, great project (e.g. with the mobile sugar juice press to press the sugar cane directly on the small farmers' fields). Very unique floral profile, here still with the barrel influence that reminds me of sake. Not the highest league, but delicious, pure and as a mixed rum."

"Trifft jetzt irgendwie nicht do ganz meinen Geschmack, ist aber ansonsten ganz okay. Kaum definierbare Nase, für mich hier Vanille und tropischen Früchten. Am Gaumen kommen dann noch Holz und Gewürze hinzu. Ansonsten recht alkoholisch. Durchschnitt, mehr nicht."

"Not bad at all either. The nose is very refreshing, with herbs such as basil. Sugar cane is also recognizable. The palate is also very fresh, with herbs and sugar cane here too. Very herbal rum."

"I don't know what potting soil tastes like, but that's how I imagine it 🤣 unfortunately not my cup of tea at all... strangely floral, perfumed and at the same time meaty and umami. Like a caraway roll with cologne water and musty potted plants. Also strangely acidic and alcoholic. Not fun at all, sorry😅"

"It's not a real hit, but once again something nice and unusual. Nice for sipping in between, but unfortunately nothing more. Reasonable price though. In comparison, I like the FRC Thailand better. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to try it as a blender yet."

"Edit: Tried again in TiPunch, therefore corrected upwards a little. All in all, a rum that you can drink. For me, better than expected. Although this type of rum doesn't really appeal to me straight. Nice to have tried, but the rest will end up in a TiPunch as a mixer, as I don't think the alcohol integration is all that successful."

"Un rhum de Thaïlande qui tient ses promesses en termes d’exotisme. Le nez est très floral et végétal, les notes de canne à sucre, d’herbe et de terre se conjuguent à la douceur du litchi, des agrumes et des notes poivrées. C’est très doux et frais. En bouche, la douceur prédomine clairement. C’est très végétal, très frais, la canne à sucre et le litchi s’expriment sans trop de problème sur ce profil assez net. À noter quelques épices (poivre notamment) qui viennent chatouiller les papilles. La finale est très courte, portée par la canne à sucre, le poivre et la verdure. Un profil exotique, frais et sympathique qui aurait du potentiel si la législation thaïlandaise n’interdisait pas d’embouteiller l’alcool au delà de 40%. À noter qu’il passe relativement bien en cocktail."

"An average rum, but it's quite okay. Of course it tastes very alcoholic and you can also taste the Agricole, but I still think it's okay. The alcohol is moderately integrated. Definitely quite good with cola."

"Thai rum produced from rice. I think it’s slightly better than its brother, Mehkong. Not to be drunk neat, but it works well as a party drink mixed with 1/4 Coke or Sprite. There have been some bottles ordered in Bangla Road, Phuket. Have a bottle in my Rum Bar just to remind me of those heydays."

"Always thought that this was a Whisky based upon rice, but seen that some says it’s rum. It shouldn’t be drunk neat, but if you mix it with 1/4 of Sprite or Coke you have a simple party drink that many of us had to much of in Thailand."
