"25.02.2017 A nice afternoon in the basement with rum and some delicious food. Notes Medium dark colour. Nose Wood, light roasted, plum, light licorice, faint chocolate, light caramel. Palate Intense, oily, wood, light smoke, dried fruit, plum, light licorice, earthy. Finish Very long, wood, light smoke, raisin, plum, tobacco, licorice"

"Tasted at the GRF in Berlin - positive surprise, because if you expect to taste a dilution in this bottling due to the not too high alcohol content, you will be proven wrong in view of the very compact profile. Very nice Guyana rum, but at a price."

"Zu Beginn überrascht der Rum durch faulige Noten. Dann setzen sich Kräuter durch, die an den süßlichen Jägermeister erinnern. Nach süßem Auftakt, vmtl durch das Sherryfinish, gewinnt Getreide die Oberhand, Whiskyeindruck. Ein langer, wohlig warmer Abgang mit Honig, Kirsche und dezenten Rauchnoten."

"Great intensity with spice and fruitiness (papaya and tangerine) on the nose. There are also floral associations. A bit biting on the palate with spice, salt and slight bitterness from the wood. With a few drops of water it opens up a bit more and is fun!Good Port Mourant!"

"Für den Preis kann man diesen schon mal mit nehmen, kein Überrum, aber für die Leistung was er bring in der Preiskategorie war er die Nummer 1 im Vergleich zu den zwei anderen Underdogs im Split. Leider doch nicht so gut gewesen, wie er anfangs bewertet wurde."

"This is a tasting set from 2022 where we had a lot of fun around the table. This release is a bit out of balance because the ABV is a bit too dominant even when rested. Light fruits and a nice smoky note in the profile. The floral touch to the profile is also really nice. Better ABV integration would have pushed this rum even higher."
