HSE Single Cask (MEB 2021)
Top review from Rodolphe:
"After a quick discovery of the rumfest, we bought the bottle and had a real tasting and direct comparison with its 2003 counterpart. The nose: enchanting, a real bohneur and a perfect balance between the freshness of the cane, the fruitiness and the darker contributions of the cask. The degree is perfect, so you can dive right in without having to dab your nostrils afterwards. The 2003 was more on the barrel. On the palate: insanely greedy, super. In short, a top-notch Agricole, a model of delicacy and balance that I found even better than the 2003 precisely because it reduces the woodiness and puts even more fruit in the glass."

Top review from Oliver:
"Eher zurĂŒckhaltende Nase. Etwas (junges) Holz, Zuckerrohr und eine angenehme WĂŒrze. Am Gaumen kommt dann deutlich mehr Power. Tolle Harmonie aus Holz, WĂŒrze und Frische des Zuckerrohrs. Cremig und komplex. Alkohol sehr gut integriert. Richtig toller Agricole!"
Clément Selection Exclusive (Batch 2)
Top review from Kevin Sorensen đ©đ°:
"I just got two bottles of this limited release and I'd say it's pretty good. I scored this one a bit lower but price to quality is very good. Lightly fruity with spices and roasted wood in near perfect harmony. A well balanced rum and I recommend leaving the empty glass for a while and then whiff it again because that is a nice experience."
HSE ChĂąteau Marquis de Terme Finish
Top review from lukasdrinkinghabits:
"This is what a red wine finish should taste like! It is present without taking over the rum. Red fruits, berries and cherry remain from the nose to the finish. There are also spices (cumin, cloves) - and a hint of sulphur, which leaves a little salt in the mouth and finish. Despite the low alcohol content, a lot of flavor comes together in the mouth. Reminiscent of a very elegant 2008 Ten Cane. A little too little action, but I could drink this almost every day."
HSE Rhum Agricole Extra Vieux (La Confrérie du Rhum)
Top review from Gunnar Böhme "Bauerngaumen" đ€:
"Great Agricole! Not so much on the grassy side, but rather on the woody side, almost earthy and deep. Alcohol very well integrated. Despite the almost unmanageable number of different bottlings, HSE simply has it!"
HSE Kilchoman Single Cask Finish
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"HSE Kilchoman finish is a special mix from two great regions, Martinique and Islay. The rum was aged in the tropics for 6 years and then finished for 4 months in whisky barrels. It was distilled in November 2013 and bottled in February 2020 in just 4100 bottles. Overall a quite elegant rum that must be perfect for people loving whisky that wa"
Clément Cuvée HomÚre Clément
Top review from Kevin Sorensen đ©đ°:
"Enjoying this rum yet again and I still love it. This is one of the few rums carrying the AOC certification! A dry but very complex and well balanced rhum Agricole. The single column copper still in which it was made has given it a lot of flavours not available in normal stills A masterpiece of rum made from molasses showing that with love and care you can make a well aged Rhum Agricole from molasses."
HSE Grande Reserve XO

"18.11.2023 Yet another retasting and I still like the profile. --------------------- Retasting at the German Rum Fest and I still like it. ----- We had a go at several HSE today and I'm a bit tipsy from it."
HSE VSOP - Port Cask Finish
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"Bought this bottle for over a year ago from Catawiki. Rhum HSE is produced at the Le Simon distillery in Martinique. Itâs distilled in a Creole column and then aged for more than 3 years in American oak barrels whereafter itâs aged for more than 8 months in casks previously used for Port wine. Overall one of the best port cask finished rums Iâve tasted."
HSE Parcellaire #1 Canne dâOr
Top review from Kevin Sorensen đ©đ°:
"#4243 08.09.2023 I got 6 secret samples from a friend as a blind tasting and that has been a lot of fun spread over two evenings. The price tag on this rum is very good compared to what you get. Fresh and fruity with nice cane and pretty good Agricole notes. The palate is almost oily and spictmy/warm and lightly dry. Medium to long finish. The empty glass is nice and has some orange and flower notes."
HSE Rozelieures Single Malt Finish
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"This Agricole has been finished for 8-12 months in former Whisky barrels and that taste dominates totally in nose and palate. Itâs first during the medium long finish that it tastes more like Rhum. Probably a great Rhum for Whisky lovers that want to look into the fantastic world of Agricoles."
Clément Vieux 15 ans
Top review from Kevin Sorensen đ©đ°:
"Lovely expression for a 15 year old rum. A lot of oak from nose to finish and I love it. Less fruity but more Agricole like and slightly dry with a silky finish. Enjoying this rum again today and I really like it. "
Braud & Quennesson Rhum Blanc Agricole
Top review from cigares :
"Un rhum dégusté au Rhum Fest en 2024. Un beau nez avec tout ce qui fait le charme des agricoles, herbacé, citron vert et fraßcheur. La bouche est un peu moins bien et la finale est bien courte. Un rhum qui promettait plus au nez, mais malgré tout trÚs bien fait."
ClĂ©ment TrĂšs Vieux CuvĂ©e lâElixir
Top review from cigares :
"A pretty package for a not very convincing rum. There are many cheaper and more interesting agricoles. That said, this is a successful rum, but it lacks diversified aromas and depth. Rather poor value for money."
HSE Réserve Spéciale VSOP
Top review from Tim :
"This VSOP from HSE is also good: more discreet nose with chocolate, wood and caramelized fruit. In the mouth, the woody profile continues, adding spicy and earthy notes. Roasty coffee and chocolate on the finish to wood and spice and some sweet caramel."
Clément XO
Top review from Martin Ekrt:
"I almost forgot the cast sample before disposing of the bottle. Very fine aroma of fruit, apple, nutmeg. The taste is also more subtle. Again, apple, peanuts and bergamot tea, cognac. Similar finish. A very fine rum for easy sipping."
Clément Vieux 10 ans
Top review from Tim :
"Very tart and dry notes on the nose, only honey provides some contrast. Typical Agricole, but a bit thin. Full attack in the mouth: sharp, dry, herbal. In the finish, surprisingly, more fruit (apricot) and sweet sugar cane shines through again. Overall, however, the rum does not convince me."
HSE Blanc
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"In summary itâs a rustic, dry, powerful, intense and balanced Agricole Blanc. Iâve also tested it in a Ti Punch and it was great. The nose is fruity, spicy and floral. On the palate itâs a little bit rustic and the aromas from the nose just explodes in the mouth."
HSE Blanc
Top review from Kevin Sorensen đ©đ°:
"08.01.2022 Nice little tasting at my home with a few colleagues. Notes Transparent in colour. Nose Fresh, citrus, light herbs, light olive, spices. Palate Fresh, warm, citrus, sugarcane, light olive, faint salt, light vegetal, faint herbs. Finish Medium long, fresh, warm, citrus, olive, light grass."
HSE Black Sheriff One Shot
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"Itâs a blend of three-to-four-year old rum aged in American oak bourbon barrels Itâs quite young and thatâs noticeable when itâs coming to the deep in the rum and the powerfulness. Overall Iâm getting a little of a whisky feeling, but thatâs not bad. I think itâs quite good for being so young. "
Clément VO
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"Got this 5cl sample from the Rum Ratings Tasting Club. Clément VO 3yo is a blend of rums aged in new oak barrels and former bourbon barrels. The finish is medium long with tastes of cane and lime besides the tastes from the palate. Overall a typical young AOC rum."
HSE Ragtime
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"Overall an tasty and smooth Agricole. Itâs a selection of agricole rums aged in new 200 liters American oak casks for 12 to 24 months. HSE is made at the distillery Le Simon which is the same distillery that produces Clement and A1710. From the distillery itâs said: âThis rum will delight both in a Ti-Punch as well as in cocktails.â, but Iâve tested it neat and thinks it works well that way."
Clément Secrets de fûts (Intense)
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"Bought this bottle when I drove down to Spain some weeks ago. Itâs first aged for 1 year in French and American oak barrels and thereafter for 3 years in former bourbon barrels. The taste of bourbon is dominates, which I find a little bit too much especially when the bottle was newly opened. If you like Agricole and Bourbon, go for it."
