"3. Fläschchen im Weihnachtskalender. (Hatte ich auch schon mal als sample vor einem halben Jahr...) Islay Finish war spätestens am Gaumen klar, dachte zunächst an WP, dafür war er aber zu süß. Also Panama. Volltreffer! Nase: fruchtig-würzig, rauchig, leichte Zitronen-Frische. Pfeffer, Muskat, Vanille. Kräftig-süß-torfig mit etwas Banane. Das ist Islay. Gaumen: Torfig, röstig, süß! Dazu ein bisschen Anis, Vanille und Banane, etwas salzig. Jetzt noch eindeutiger - Islay-Fass! So auch im Abgang. Wenn man diesen Ausbau mag, ist das hier ein schöner, kompakter, runder."

"Mein erster besserer Vertreter des spanischen Stils. Überraschend lecker. Natürlich weit weniger intensiv als die von mir gewohnten Pot Stills, aber dennoch interessante Aromen welche sich mit der Zeit in Richtung Honig und Gewürze entwickeln."

"On the nose this rum has lots of sweet woody notes with very light leather notes in the background. The palate stays with the sweet woody notes from the nose but there also some pineapple and vanilla. The finish is surprisingly dry and has a lot of toased cocoa notes. A very relaxed tipple that doesn't taste like a cask strength rum. Very easy drinking. Batch 1 - Bottle 30 of 465"

"1. Tasting day: nice, not what I expected (I have come to find Spanish style rums underwhelming). There is a strong aroma, and more mouthfeel. Not very much beyond Caramel at first, but ist still satisfies my taste buds. This may be due to the high ABV compared to other more mainstream latin rums I tried, I like it. 2. Tasting: a completely different experience. This time the rum seemed more timid, which is not wrong. But it prevents a higher score. Still it is a nice sipper, one to drink on the balkony until a surprised realization that the glass is empty."
