Rum Artesanal Jamaica High Ester Rum HGML
Top review from Thunderbird:
"RumX Day10: What a treat! This Hampden is once again absolutely top! It has a balanced maturity and is not as impetuous as many others, without denying its origin! All the expected flavors are represented, just a little more mature and subtle! Great Tasting evening with Dr. Django: Can only confirm my assessment of danals, first class bottling"

Top review from Galli33:
"WoW what an amazing rum 😍 The best of Hampden i ever had in the glass, so far. Nose: Wonderfull synergy of funk, ester, trop. fruits and glue. Mouth: The alcohol is perfectly integrated🫠Very delicious, balanced, complex rum, some nice lovely notes of overripe fruits and pineapple. Finish: Is quite long and fruity with some notes of the barrel with a lightly astringency. 🤤🤤"

Top review from Jakob:
"For me, still a touch before the C<>H, although that can be justified m.E. only exclusively subjective and is dependent not least on the form of the day. How much better tropically stored Hampden still goes probably remains to be seen - but for me this is definitely already absolute top class."

Top review from Oliver:
"Extremely intense and creamy Hampden. Perfect ester level and (tropical) maturity. On the palate there are also the typical New Yarmouth cookie dough associations, paired with cheese crackers. Killer Hampden! 💣😍"
Plantation Jamaica HJF
Top review from Jakob:
"Great bottling - both wonderful fruit notes and wood, spice and a heavy caramel sweetness come together here. The alcohol is excellently integrated, the over 70% are not really tasty - except in the aromatic complexity. If Plantation can maintain this level, one can look forward to the coming releases."

Top review from Jakob:
"It was my introduction to tropical fruit ester bombs and I absolutely loved it at first sip. Actually, even at the first breath, because as soon as you open the bottle, the bouquet inevitably makes its way into the entire room. Unimaginably high quality for the issue price and, even from today's perspective, proof of what Hampden is capable of. Exceptionally good."
Rumclub Private Selection Ed. 25 DOK
Top review from DomM:
"Nose is very nice and intense. Lots of fruits and funk to begin with. After some time to breath, spices and some smokiness shows up. Very enjoyable yet demanding given the high ester level. High intensity on the palate as well: lots of fruits and ester notes. A bit of sweetness to balance the overall profile. Still quite lively while the cask took off the harshest edges."

Richtig lecker ... Abgang lang Fruchtig und leicht Bitter ."

Top review from Kevin Sorensen 🇩🇰:
"Despite the relative young age this is a spot on fresh and intense release, wow. When looking at the price tag at release you get a lot of vang for your buck. An intense and fruity rum with a fresh and floral profile. ABV really well integrated and overall just and enjoyable rum."
Great House (Distillery Edition 2019)
Top review from Frank:
"80% OWH 2012 20% <>H 2016 In direct comparison with '20, '21 and '22: least intense on the nose, more marzipan, brightest together with 21, a bit more tart and powerful than the others on the palate. Quite smooth and restrained on the nose, seems fresh and vinegar at the same time. Clearly solvent and some ester, citrus, perhaps lemon or yet tangerine? A slightly sweet marzipan note mixes in. Sourly fruity with pineapple. A bit woody with vanilla. On the palate it comes across sour-salty-bitter at first, yet seems a bit creamy. Hampden esters towards glue are also found now. Citrus in the direction of grapefruit and again marzipan. At the back, some anise is added. In the finish to the anise, orange peel and green tea. A very pleasant blend."

Top review from cigares :
"A world of difference between the opening of the bottle and four months later. A hard, alcoholic rum turns into a still strong, but very fruity rum with a very well integrated wood. A little bit of water softens the nose, reveals even more fruit and brings out a slight smokiness. A very nice surprise and a delicious rum! A remarkable rum raisin finish. Re-tasted and even better."

Top review from cigares :
"Day 1 Samples de Luxe calendar. Tasted again a year and a half later. Pale yellow color. On the nose, banana compote, Jamaican funk, rum raisins and a vegetal, dried herb side. On the palate, a fairly lively attack with alcohol and tropical fruit. Nice aromas, but rather one-dimensional, like a fruit spirit. Long finish, a little more interesting than the palate. Very well-integrated wood. A very fine rum. To be tasted again after a little oxidation. It's done, and the oxidation gives this rum a beautiful harmony."

Top review from Leo Tomczak:
"Beautiful 2013 <>H that requires concentration and a lot of time to breathe. Compared to the other 2013/2014s, much more pleasant mouthfeel and noticeably more tropical fruit. Great value for money."
Great House (Distillery Edition 2023)
Top review from Gunnar Böhme "Bauerngaumen" 🤓:
"Blind tasting 01.02.2024, 2nd rum of the evening Nose: But now Jamaica! Some kind of low ester, I would say. Palate: A little too sour for me, seems one-dimensional, but the alcohol is well integrated. But stick with Jamaica. An HGML? The Younger perhaps? Resolution: Wow, the latest GH, really? I would have expected more."

"Extrem guter DOK! Würde ich gerne Mal im daiquiri ausprobieren aber dafür ist er mir zu teuer...😅 In Sachen Preis Leistung kommt da nix an den fine drams ran. Dennoch geiles Teil hier für high Ester power drinks!"
Pure Single Jamaican Rum Overproof
Top review from Kevin Sorensen 🇩🇰:
"A really good Jamaican style rum with a real punch. I'd say most may need a few drops of water to make it a lot more digestible. Rest for 15-20 minutes for all flavours to be released. Has more bang for your buck than the 92 proof version."
Pure Single Jamaican Rum Classic HLCF
Top review from Mirko Frosini 🇮🇪:
"Nice rum, but a little under compared to batch1. The presence of a slight solvent note I liked less and it is less intense. However, we are talking about finesse and personal taste. We are dealing with a rum that I would drink all the time! I do not understand all these new versions of Hampden Velier that I find little different from each other and especially pòco justified in terms of value for money. Velier lately is focusing too much on collectors with the result of making the bottles unobtainable already upon release and overpriced."
Pagos Sherry (Batch 2)
Top review from Galli33:
"I prefer the Pagos 2023 over the last years edition! This has more „Hampden“ power and the Sherry barrel is integrated much better (due the change of the barrels… maybe?) and the sherry stays more in the background like a faithful campanion and fit perfect with the Hampden flavours. Grilled pineapple meets sour cherries overwhelmed by esters 🤤🥃 The alcohol is very present, i would say typical for a young Hampden."
Specially Bottled for Whisky Live Paris 2023 HLCF
Top review from cigares :
"A rum tasted at the WLP A very aromatic nose with overripe banana, pineapple and walnut. The palate is full-bodied, with lots of fruit, marzipan and almond. The finish is long and elegant, a real discovery."
Pure Single Jamaican Rum LROK
Top review from Mirko Frosini 🇮🇪:
"Nice rum, but too similar to hampden the younger and the 50 euro difference is a tease to the consumer. Unfortunately lately Velier is releasing overpriced bottlings where you pay for the brand and less for the quality of the product. Personally I would never buy it taking into account that the overproof can be found at 80 euros and this at 110 and the younger at 59."
Pure Single Jamaican Rum
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"This rum, together with its Overproof brother, marking an historic moment for all rum enthusiasts loving the funky 100% pot still rum from Jamaica. Now we don’t need to buy expensive Veliers. The nose is fruity and spicy with esters. At the palate it’s complex, intense and funky with strong flavors of fruits and spices."
Rum Fire
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"It’s a triple distilled pure pot stills HLCF rum which gives an ester level of 500-600. The finish is rather long and tastes about the same as on the palate. I think it’s the best of the three big white Overproof’s from Jamaica, it’s funky, potent, complex and powerful without being too pungent."
Pure Single Jamaican Rum OWH
Top review from zabo:
"Edit Edit: batch #1 is better than batch #2 Edit: it's also really good as a mixer. Simply a classic. Good price/performance ratio. Works wonderfully to enhance both cocktails and long drinks. For me, it's the best entry-level Hampden and always will be. That's why I had to upgrade it again."
Smith & Cross Traditional Jamaican Rum
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"If you should have just one Navy strength rum in your bar, this is the one. The nose is complex with aromas of esters, fruits and spices. At the palate it’s complex and funky with flavors of esters, fruits and spices. The finish is quite long and dry."
