"Der Geruch erinnert mich direkt an eine florale Version von Irischem Whiskey mit sehr starken floralen und Apfel Noten. Nach wenigen Minuten kommt süßes Veilchen durch. Im Geschmack ganz klar Agricole, aber sehr sehr mild mit einer ausgeprägten Zuckerrohrnote. Alles in allem ein guter Rum, sehr schön und leicht zu trinken. Allerdings bin ich nicht der größte Agricolefreund und auch dieser wird daran nichts ändern."

"The few bottlings from Mauritius, which I was allowed to taste so far, could not convince me yet.Therefore, this Labourdonnais surprised me positively. Vegetable and spicy notes predominate, which I expect from a sugar cane juice-based rum. Light vanilla, citrus and barrel aromas round out the impression in the nose and on the palate.Only the for me somewhat low alcohol content of 42% is to be criticized by me. Personally, I would have liked a few percent more. Special points again receives the XO for its surprisingly long finish, which leaves very pleasant Agricole notes on the palate."

"Thinking about the price tag on this bottle you get a jackpot. A slightly different rum from the destiller and the added vanilla from their own crop makes an impact. The rum is very dark and looks great in the glass. The nose is mild, fresh and sweet with vanilla and port right out of the bottle. I also get plum and sugarcane flavours after resting. The palate is fresh and sweet and equally strong on vanilla and port. Sugarcane, plum and vanilla comes in second. The finish is medium long and sweet with vanilla, port and some fruits."

"The nose is super floral. It reminds me of a box full of ancient perfumes mixed with old fashioned sweets. The palate is full of Christmas fruitcake. A decent amount of cracked black pepper and some subtle white fruits. The taste of vanilla gets stronger over time. The finish is dry and medium in length. Indian cooking spices and freshly cut wood. It's interesting. By far the most floral rum I've tried so far. It's definitely for somebody, but I can't get past the old lady perfume."

"26.03.2022 Sampling a bit at home. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Fresh, light wood, light roasted, balanced, spice, light, light sugarcane, faint nutts. Palate Balanced, light, wood, cinnamon, ginger, light caramel, herbs, light citrus, medium spicy. Finish Medium long, light, wood, light citrus, faint sugarcane, light nougat."

"Farbe: Altgold Geruch: Süß, frisch, leicht und fruchtig (Apfel). Zudem alkoholisch mit Vanille Aromen. Geschmack: Süß, mild, mit der Zeit dann alkoholisch-würzig. Beim Schlucken würzig, vergorene Früchte, billiger Sherry, Feige, Karamell. Abgang: Mittellang Würzig Vergorene Früchte, wird dann zunehmend bitter und unangenehm. Trocken, holzig und bitter-fruchtig im Nachgeschmack. 69 Punkte"
