The Sins Avarice by Robert Bauer

Top review from zabo:
"Edit: now tasted again from the fresh bottle. Simply brilliant. Tasted with great calm and time. For me, it's one of the best I've ever had in a glass. If nothing better comes along in the near future, I'll give it another better rating. Tasted together with Chris2302 some time ago. Many thanks to the donor at the time who made this possible for both of us 😀 (a little tip: it was on the 2nd GAF, so it's not difficult to find the donor 😉 ) I thought the smell was bomb. After the first sip, we agreed that this is a drop that will easily break the 9! Anyone who has the opportunity to try it. Do not hesitate! Insane part!!! Drink of the gods!"
TECA

Top review from Mirko Frosini 🇮🇪:
"Great rum, among the best I have tasted. Hints of roastiness, peanuts, solvents/nail polish, barrel/woods, licorice, pastry and light vanilla. I find it well balanced and would never stop drinking it. A deep rum. The finish is endless."
Cambridge STC❤️E

Top review from Oliver:
"Lots of marzipan and varnish on the nose. Incredibly intense and complex on the palate. Slightly acidic, spicy and fruity. The 18 years of tropical maturation produce an absolute top release. One of my highlights at Whisky Live Paris 2023."
Plantation Finished in 10 Générations cask STC❤️E

Top review from Jakob:
"A real "board" - aromatically very dense with lots of fresh fruit from a melange of tropical and citrus fruits that can hardly be decomposed in the last detail paired with bacony roasted aromas, spices, wood influences and some caramel sweetness. Extremely intense, but in this force also absolutely impressive."

Top review from Kevin Sorensen 🇩🇰:
"2023 and I still love it though at the last bottle 😊 Another wonderful bottling from Valinch & Mallet. Happy that I got my hands on 2 bottles. Remember to rest for 15-20 minutes to release all those wonderful flavours. 2021.12.10 Sitting in my recliner right now enjoying this wonderful rum. No wonder people like it, real funk and fruits from Jamaica. I have the entire series and the general quality level is very high."
Jamaican Rum

Top review from zabo:
"Wow, I'm really excited about this wine. After some time in the glass, you are rewarded with a super development. It does everything it should and even a little more. It has the full balanced flavor with the "low" ABV without appearing thin or watered down. A very smooth and elegant rum."
Cambridge STC❤️E

Top review from Jakob:
"The clearly more relaxed - in the sense of uncomplicated drinkable - STCE from the Velier series. For me, both are almost on par, only the slightly greater aromatic force brings the 2010 razor-thin in front. However, both offer high quality, without any doubt."
Vale Royal VRW

Top review from Mirko Frosini 🇮🇪:
"I love Long Pond distillery!Vale Royal is the least pronounced as scents. It is a depowered version of the Long Pond TECA or TECC. This bottle is a reissue from a Jamaican distillery that has now been closed for decades. On the nose we smell solvents, spices including vanilla, chocolate and marzipan or otherwise pastry and a slight roastiness. On the palate we always have dark chocolate, nail polish or solvents, pastry, woody notes and always a slight peanut roastiness. I also seem to detect a faint note of tar on the palate. The finish is medium-long with hints of grape/ lychee.ABV beautifully integrated, better than its big brothers!A nice tasting rum well balanced, but with a strong character!"
Plantation Jamaica (Salon du Rhum) HJC

Top review from SaibotZtar :
"Woohoo what a grenade... Brachial Long Pond 😎 Alcohol incredibly well integrated and at an incredible 76% 😳😳😳😳 Dilution, Uhu come first, Bääähm💥 full in the Fre... e .... Gradually it opens up and fruits, wood, honey and of course "umami" come through well. An insane drop!!!! I am thrilled.... Let's see what he delivers in May Tai."
Swell & Co. Co-bottling series #4 ITP

Top review from Oliver:
"Untypical Long Pond. Little ester and rather hints of the barrel-strong Appleton Hearts. Very intense and concentrated. Alcohol could be a bit better integrated. Nevertheless, exciting profile!"
1985

Top review from Jakob:
Wild Series Rum Jamaica No. 26 VRW

Top review from Dr.Django:
"Direct comparison in a blind tasting between the two sister casks. Almost identical key data. Two outstanding bottlings. Both fight on the dark side of the force with wet wooden swords peppered with dark cherries and blackberries. A bit of funk shines through as the aromatic swords clash. The aromas explode when they clash until there is nothing left and both opponents lie exhausted on the ground. Then 12464 has the longer breath. RX12502 The finish seems to evaporate, but loops and comes out fruity and lingers. and lingers for a very long time. brilliant! RX12464 Brilliant. An absolute favorite of mine. Two excellent rums."
Rum Sponge No. 17 ITP

Top review from Oliver:
"In a blind tasting, I would have guessed a blend of Long Pond and (very good) Belize. Extremely exciting profile. Very approachable yet complex. Atypical and very exciting character. A real highlight in the RumSponge tasting!"
Jamaica ITP

Top review from Rodolphe:
"The slap of the year. A superb 15-year-old longpond, almost entirely tropical, at an affordable price... From another time... And what a rum! The nose opens with overripe tropical fruit, wax and woody aromas. It's extremely greedy. With aeration, the woody aromas take on more prominence, always with a veil of solvent to back them up. But nothing is too much, the balance is great, I love this nose. On the palate, it's unfortunately too dominated by barrel aromas, even though it's very smooth and the alcohol is very well integrated. For a lover of woody gourmet profiles, this is an excellent rum. For a Jamaican lover, it will lack a little fruit, even though it's an ITP."

Top review from Basti:
"The nose starts off with a good load of glue, which then gradually gives way to spices, mint and yellow fruit. Very intense in the mouth, slightly astringent and somewhat medicinal. For me, it almost goes in the direction of Clarendon. Slightly bitter finish. The high ABV is well integrated."
Rum Artesanal Jamaica Rum

Top review from SaibotZtar :
"Beautiful LP Nose very restrained... Sweetish peach, honeydew melon, green apple and very light ester notes. On the palate ... first again an unusual sweetness, immediately some bitterness. Little fruit ... lots of wood and herbs . Not quite convincing on its own... but delivers a decent Mai Tai as a blend."
White STC❤️E

Top review from Kevin Sorensen 🇩🇰:
"Yet another retaste and here I also stick to my score 😊 This is a surprisingly good white unaged rum. Looking at the price tag you get a lot for your money. Very fruity with an intense nose and starting palate. The chemical factory like my friend calls it is there and the finish is very long and warm. Draws nice curtains in the glass and the empty glass is very nice even after hours."

Top review from cigares :
"A rather harsh rum when the sample is opened, it takes a few hours, but then synthetic varnish and fruit galore on the nose. Apple, pineapple, overripe banana. After a long wait, the palate is rather soft, the varnish fortunately more discreet, giving way to fruit and a vegetal note (lime blossom). The finish is long and fruity, with yellow and tropical fruits. I love it! A fine rum with balance and elegance on the palate and finish, but you have to be patient and disregard the first nose. It probably lacks age, but I definitely like Long Pond."
The Many Faces of Rum STC❤️E

Top review from DomM:
"Pleasantly surprised on the nose. This is much more balanced than I expected given the low age. Very nice hints of marzipan and honey alongside quite some intense tropical fruits. Yet there are also some herbs and a solid pinch of chemical notes like glue and nailpolish. On the palate it also starts of quite nice and approachable with wood, fruits and bit of ester-ey goodness. Towards the finish, however, it does show its young(er) age with some harshness and a very woody and bitter finish, missing out on the decent complexity from the start. Positively surprised by this one, overall."
The Nectar Of The Daily Drams Jamaica TECA

Top review from zabo:
"Online tasting of various TECA and TECC organized by Mirco. First of all, many thanks for the great split to be able to try them all side by side. Now I had to readjust a few ratings."
Spécial Édition ITP-15

Top review from RumTaTa:
"Second tasting: I reduce my rating by 4 points because the rum seems quite alcoholic despite the low alcohol content and because the gap in terms of aroma and intensity to the Velier bottlings is clear. The grilled overripe bananas jump out of the glass at me! There are also other tropical fruits and vanilla. Ripe banana and vanilla again in the mouth, very mild and oily. A peppery and salty note and barrel are added on the finish. Overall very harmonious and intense, top!"
S.B.S Jamaica (Single Origin Rum) TECA

Top review from Mirko Frosini 🇮🇪:
"Loving long ponds, I decided to purchase a white. I expected more marzipan, which I love in its aged counterpart, however it is a remarkable white. Complex, strong in the solvent part, but never overdone. Olive and esters on the nose. In the mouth solvents and a fleeting roasted/smoky note. On the finish pineapple and lychee, medium-long duration.Whites for me must have a different evaluation than amber."
S.B.S Jamaica #STANDWITHUKRAINE STC❤️E

Top review from Galli33:
"Very nice bottling! #standwithucraine I enjoyed this one a lot. The DOK barrel is well noted and make a good mix with the LP. Btw. Hampden and Long Pond are my favorite distillers! In the nose you’ll get the full power of the ST<3CE fruit basket paired with a high impact of ester and the sherry cask. Very lovely. On the pallet it continious with those notes. The finish is quite a bit unspectacular, but the lovely typical fruity LP notes remains for many many minutes 🤤🤤 PN: I let it rest for about 30 min. In comparsion to the Cambridge 2010, this one i like much more."
