"Enjoying this lovely and complex rum before the first tasting of 2023. I love Neisson because their baseline on the older rums is pretty high. Very fruity and fresh with a hint of mint and licorice. Complex and very well balanced đ The finish is very long and smooth. Very nice curtains in the glass."

"Aahhh! A dream of a neisson! Fresh macarons, the 12 years in the barrel perpetuated with a beautiful cedar note. Chapeau. Compared to the 2004 SC, much more dried fruit. Elegant and perfectly balanced. Then woodier in the mouth, crisp, warm. Mmhhh, the salivation is stimulated. It does not have the shortcoming of some Neisson to be a little too weak on the chest du. A great rum, what can I say! Will soon taste it against the 15ys Batch #3, my reference so far."

"A rum tasted at Whisky Live in Paris in 2024. Yellow fruit and mirabelle plum, sweetness on the nose, discreet oak and a very slight vegetal note. Sweetness on the palate too, with more wood, more yellow fruit and dried herbs. The finish is long and, like this fine rum, elegant and smooth. A more fruity nose, while the wood is more noticeable on the palate with a fine bitterness."

"A sample that I have been looking for for a long time. Grazie Mille!!! đ I let it breathe for 2 hours, smelling it every time is an experience. Beautiful lacquer and solvent, caramel and macaroons, but restrained by Neisson standards. Plenty of spices. Very powerful, yet round and the 58% is perfectly integrated. It is very complex. Sniff deep in, peripheral, let it rest, swirl, something new every time.đ Woody in the mouth (but not too much), spicy, caramel and macaroons. Long finish. The Neisson DNA is recognizable, but this one is not fine and elegant, but heavy and spicy. Absolutely đ, I like it better than its brother from 2005."

"What a nice release and that they're back at 70% again. Intense and fruity with nice floral notes. Needs to rest for a good while to release all the nice flavours. Also needs to rest for a while before giving it a go."

"#4659 17.03.2024 Sitting at home relaxing a bit with some TV series running on the telly đ Nose Fresh, minerals, citrus, sugarcane, light mint, light vegetal, faint floral. Palate Round, sugarcane, spicy, medium dry, balanced, light floral, vegetal, citrus. Finish Medium to long, dry, citrus, spicy, light floral. The empty glass has some light nutty and faint rubber notes. I know this rum is meant for mixing but it makes a darn good sipper as well."

"Bought this Rhum Neisson Blanc from Catawiki a few months ago. The distillery is owned by the Neisson family since its foundation in 1932. They uses fresh sugar cane juice from locally grown cane. After a quite long fermentation itâs distilled in a French Savalle column still installed 1938. Overall a great Agricole Blanc thatâs very good neat, but a little weak in a Ti Punch."

"A very fine and delicate Neisson at first. Perfume. Flowers. Chamomille. Dry. Sugarcane juice. In taste: more hay. Grass. Chamomille is very present. A bit of white pepper. There's some young perfumated wood present, very delicate, might be the mizunara. All in all nice and well balanced. A bit like a Japanese whisky."

"In the nose furniture polish, almonds, cookie part. A great plastic note in the mouth. Great, tingly finish, which is unfortunately a bit short. Very drinkable Neisson, but not upper league. Doesn't get that latte."

"This is a quite interesting rum! The nose is a mix of notes from fruit schnaps, sugarcane, hazelnut, citrus and almond. In mouth itâs very balanced and much fruiter, sweetier. The alcohol is integrated very well. Also the barrel stays in the background. The finish is long, dry and delicious. I would say, by far the best of this rum."

"Today the Velier Triple Entente in a glass. First the Neisson: It fits in seamlessly with Neisson's good blancs. However, it does not play a prominent role. It is a good choice both on its own and in Ti Punch. I personally prefer the latter, as it has a slightly bitter note on its own."

"Bought this Rhum Neisson Blanc 55 some months ago on my way home from Spain. The distillery has been operational since 1931 and they produce their AOC rhums from sugar cane from their own fields. The harvest takes place between late February and June and itâs during this period the Blanc 55 is produced from 5 different sugar canes, which probably gives it some complexity. Before bottled it has rested in stainless steel vats for 6 months. Overall a great premium Agricole Blanc that works well neat as well in an Ti Punch."

"In the 20th RX- Calendar sample today a Neisson (correctly typed). Aromas of grass and plants, mint, young wood. Overall a bit more subtle than the previous Agricole in the calendar. On the palate also rather mild, Young wood, Honey, Vegetable. Alcohol well integrated."
