"Extreme good delicious rum! In the nose it‘s like a rum from Barbados/Foursquare. Alcohol is integrated very well. Update: One of the NW 1994 I’ve tasted. It needs at least of 30 min to fully open up and a few drops of water helps too."

"This New Yarmouth from PL is significantly more present and stronger than the Lime House. The aromas are more intense and therefore it also appears more complex. In order to reach the top, it still lacks some fruit. Otherwise, another very good representative of the 94 NY"

"If you expect a classic NY profile with lots of fruit esters, you'll be surprised - there's far less fruit bomb here than extremely tasty salted caramel candy. A decidedly elegant potpourri of caramel sweetness, fine minerality, vanilla, oak and subtle cocoa bitterness. In addition, tropical fruit notes, which at no time play in the foreground, but deliver an extremely entertaining play of flavors in addition to the aforementioned protagonists. Great release and a highlight among the 1994 New Yarmouths."

"This is a pretty good rum but I'd say the price is a bit high. You can get the same quality from New Yarmouth cheaper out there. Leave it to rest for a while for the flavours to really develop. The nose is fruity with spices, nuts and wood as well as a hint of varnish. The palate is complex, well balanced and oily with fruits, wood, nuts, caramel and vanilla. The finish is medium to long with fruits, wood and caramel."

"karamellisierte Banane, Vanillepudding, Marzipan, Honig Brioche, Mango und maraschino Kirsche an der Nase. insgesamt deutlich "dunkler" wie der 12er. geschmacklich dann etwas pfirsich Eistee, Muskatnuss, mango und Kumquatmarmelade und salziges brioche mit Marzipan und Karamell. im Abgang dann eher dunkle Schokolade, Mandeln und eher pelzig und nicht so funky & fruchtig cremig wie sein 12 jähriger Kollege. auch mehr Holz und tannine spürbar beim 13er im Vergleich zum 12er!"

"The almost 3 years more in the barrel have done the rum in my opinion very good. Alcohol is almost perfectly integrated. Clearly smoother and quaffable as the two predecessors of RA and in my opinion also more intense typical cookie dough note, plus baking spices, lots of pineapple and banana bread and minimal citrus notes and light roast flavors. Wood is clearly perceived more intense but at no point too much. Probably the best thing CDI has brought out in a long time! And also in the Mai Tai he topped the two RA's again clearly because the additional wood here simply brings more harmony purely. Mega delicious just!"

"Comparatively bitter New Yarmouth 1994, which shows the typical sweetness DNA, but in addition already shows clear aging characteristics. The barrel has worked and, in addition to the obligatory vanilla, toffee and coconut notes, also bitter wood influences and tart leather notes flow in. However, all this remains within absolutely tolerable limits; in fact, I don't dislike these rough edges, the quaffable sweetness gets a clear counterpoint. Beautiful selection."

"100% new Yarmouth DNA. an der Nase kommt direkt brutal viel Zitrus wie Mandarine zur Geltung! einfach nur geil, mit etwas mehr frische und mehr tropischen Früchten als die anderen 2 NY aus dem Jahrgang aber der prägnante keksteig ist noch da, wenn auch etwas mehr im Hintergrund wie bei den anderen 2 NY des gleichen Jahrgangs 🤤❤️ insgesamt empfind ich diesen hier als sehr winterlich mit Mandarine, Makronen und Ingwerplätzchen Noten. sehr geil auf jeden Fall! absolut auf Augenhöhe mit SBS und CDI und Tagesform Abhängig welcher einem da am besten schmeckt. jeder hat seine Vorzüge!😅"

"Tried it again today against the new FRC For me, the FRC has the edge Another 94 New Yarmouth that I have now tasted. From memory, compared to the Insane 94 tasting, I would put this one in the good midfield. More on the creamy, chocolatey side. Nevertheless, the 94 NYs are all at a high level"

"Schöne Messeabfüllung, die einen rundum gelungenen Rum darstellt. In der Nase habe Ich viel Karamell, aber auch muffige Holztöne, wie bei alten Armagnacs aus feuchten Kellern. Im Mund dann Parallelen zum Rum Nation Clarendon 1991 (RX 1012). Das Sherry Fass kommt sehr dezent durch, aber dennoch spürbar. Ansonsten die üblichen Eichenholz/Vanille-Töne mit etwas roten Früchten. Toller süffiger, fast leichter Gesamteindruck trotz der hohen %%. Viel Fasseinfluss ohne zu bitter zu sein durch die hohe Lagerung. Im Abgang schön lang und fördert den Speichelfluss. Alles in allem fehlt mir aber noch ein Aha-Moment mit dem Rum. Er ist sehr gut gearbeitet und toll ausgesucht, aber nichts woran Ich mich in einer Woche erinnern werden. Gerechtfertigtes PLV mit tollem Flaschendesign."

Nichts anderes hätte ich von einem 94er New Yarmouth erwartet. Es ist einfach immer noch mein Lieblingsprofil. Muss sich hinter seinen Konkurrenten nicht verstecken. Ein großes Crosstesting muss noch erfolgen. Edit: nachdem ich ihn länger stehen hatte, ist im Geschmack super die Milchschokolade erkennbar, die sich cremig, geschmedig am Gaumen legt. Einfach nur lecker! Nach oben deswegen korriegiert."

"Ein klassischer New Yarmouth mit herrlich fruchtig frischer Esternase und dem dazugehörigen Keksteig, sowie Marzipan. Am Gaumen anfangs genauso, verliert dann jedoch schnell seine Fruchtigkeit und wechselt auf die würzige Seite. Der Alkohol ist sehr gut eingebunden. Eine weiterer sehr guter NY."

The freshness is astonishing, with noble vanilla rounding out the picture. The finish is quite long, with acidic fruit and light oak. "After this was spontaneously opened for a MaiTai with DomM, because a few cl were missing for a "strong MaiTai", it was tasted again pure. Conclusion: it's already very good in a MaiTai. Neat, I classify it as one of the weakest New Yarmouth 2009s, having already had a few in my glass. But that really doesn't mean that it's bad, but let's see how the open bottle develops over time."

"#4042 Keep'em coming, this is the good stuff 😊 Again a very fruity release with nice floral notes. Spicy and oily palate with some esters and natural sweetness. Price to quality is very good in my mind and I like the caramel and herbal notes in the empty glass."

"Ach Mönsch ... Soo verlockend an der Nase! Irgendwie speziell, irgendwie bekannt. Ich musste an einen alten Cognac denken. Aber dann das ... 🙄 Zu Anfang noch überraschend elegant und würzig-tief, verändert der Rum dann relativ schnell seinen Charakter: Das Finish hat ganze Arbeit geleistet und aus dem Rum wird in meiner Wahrnehmung ein (peated) Whisky. Und Whisky mag ich ja nun gar nicht ... Oh Mann, was für manche vielleicht einen irren Twist darstellt, ist für mich ein Absturz ... Nur die geile Nase rettet den Rum auf 70 Punkte. Tipp, wenn man nicht auf Whisky steht: Anders als üblicherweise diesen Rum nicht lange atmen lassen."
