Raw Cask Rum
Top review from Thunderbird:
"Day 24 RumX calendar What an unusual rum! I couldn't place it in any corner! St. Lucia I would never have suspected! Black Adder was almost 100% certain for me due to the charcoal residue in the glass! The flavors are more on the herbal side, but harmonize neatly as the spices provide good contrast! I like the St. Lucia very much"

Top review from crazyforgoodbooze:
"Incredibly awesome Chairmans. Extremely intense after lychee, mango, salted caramel and not too much wood and nice spice. Alcohol perfectly integrated, extremely sweet yet complex and the finish of canned lychees."
Chairmanâs Reserve Master's Selection (The Nectar 15th anniversary)
Top review from Stefan L:
"Yummy đ đ this is powerful, kicks a punch and I really really like it! It has some similarities in intensity and heaviness to the Grand Arome - Plantation Reunion Rye Whiskey, that I also like, but this is less sweet and much better balanced and has a much much higher quality over all. The intensity is not for all and itâs certainly not a beginners rum, but I enjoy this immensely. So happy that I now got a couple of bottles of this rum as itâs getting hard to get hold of. - Getting back to this bottle every other month and⊠yummy đ - This time tasting with some rum nerds and itâs really really nice."

"still a very, very cool blend of John Dore & vendome to perfection!đ±đšâ€ïžđ€€ something between peach iced tea, papaya mint salad & rose water mango lassi papaya with a good portion of wood and shoe polish in the finish.... totally wacky, totally exciting, I want more of it đđ€€"

Werde in diesem Bereich wohl mein Sammlung ohne schlechtes Gewissen erweitern."
Chairmanâs Reserve Masterâs Selection (Royal Mile Whiskies)

"Wow, this is a really super rum and definitely a rum well worth the money. Probably my favourite tasting of 2019. Give it a try, you won't regret it. "
Chairmanâs Reserve Masterâs Selection (Kirsch Import)
Top review from Galli33:
"What an amazing nose đ A big fruitsbaskets, with some glue, a fresh note and some roasted aromas. So far my favorite from St. Lucia!! In mouth this rum continues to shine with various fruits, tobacco, leather, wood and with a high impact of licorice đ€€ The finish is quite long, dry, starts fruity and ends in a smoky wooden barrel. The alcohol is integrated well. The 58% are notable, but drinkable. This is a truthfully rum."
Chairmanâs Reserve Master's Selection (Rum Stylez)
Top review from crazyforgoodbooze:
"wow. despite the high alcohol content and the 19y incredibly horny fruity and harmonious.cherry, tangerine, allspice, vanilla, pineapple and extremely much menthol both on the nose and in the taste in absolute harmony. in addition, some fig, cherry Hubba bubba and cocoa nibs discreetly with maple syrup and wood and black pepper. If he was a tick less "burnt bitter" and woody, I would prefer but still a grenade!đ€€â€ïžđ±đšđ„"
Chairmanâs Reserve Masterâs Selection (Rhum Attitude)
Top review from SaibotZtar :
"Even as I poured it into the glass.... thought uhhh ?? Foursquare, Bourbon? Barbados? Blindly I would never have assigned it to Chairmans. Nose very chocolaty, woody, vanilla and caramel...gaaaaaanz in the background and after at least 20min in the glass some dried fruits come through. On the palate the same game but with the addition of a great spiciness of roasted nuts and vanilla from the wood. Very heavy and palatable."

"Edit: now that the first people have had a chance to taste the new stuff, I'll add my tasting notes and my rating. I didn't want to spoil anything. But as it turns out, I'm not the only one who is enthusiastic about this bottling. After a brief sip while sampling: Makes you want more, goes more in the direction of the Kirsch, GotA&RumX bottlings so my first impression. Alcohol well integrated and quite drinkable."
Chairmanâs Reserve Master's Selection (Old Brothers & Excellence Rhum)
Top review from Kevin Sorensen đ©đ°:
"For the price you get a lot I think. Once rested you get a nicely balanced rum with light fruit and nice roasted wood. Intense and lightly dry on the palate."
Plantation St. Lucia (The Nectar)
Top review from crazyforgoodbooze:
"Unusually sweet and palatable St Lucia! Nice notes of caramel, dark chocolate, herbs and hay, fruit bread and dried fruit and then some cappuccino, black pepper and coconut on the finish! I like it and it's easy to drink, but overall it reminds me more of foursquare than st Lucia... Could totally pass for Foursquare blind. Absolutely delicious!"
Chairmanâs Reserve Master's Selection (Dom Whisky) Port Cask
Top review from crazyforgoodbooze:
"Very very awesome harmony of full proof dirty st Lucia rum and port! dried fig plays the main aroma here along with old leather couch combined with old banana peels, citrus jam and 100% cocoa and vanilla pulp along with cognac and grape notes, as well as red fruit soaked in port and lots of tannins.... Very very unique and delicious! Grandiose bottling from Poland! đŻđ„"
Chairmanâs Reserve Master's Selection (Rum Exchange)
Top review from mto75:
"On the I was also already curious, because the 21-year-old 2000 RdL was a real grenade. The first impression at the RE is also positive, pretty heavy part, with red fruits and tobacco. However, as it dwells in the glass, tannins and something slightly acidic come through clearly. Charred barrel and dried fruit on the palate, tannins and black tea on the finish. Already quite extreme the bottling. The RdL - although also 21-year-old - I found a little more balanced."
Chairmanâs Reserve Masterâs Selection (Collection Antipodes, LMDW)
Top review from Kevin Sorensen đ©đ°:
"Not full on par with the other single special releases. Nice and warm on the palate with a long finish. I like the light floral note from nose to finish. The empty glass still has strong flavours the day after."
Chairmanâs Reserve Masterâs Selection (Perola)
Top review from crazyforgoodbooze:
"16y tropical aging 100% Coffey Collumn Still Ex bourbon+ 3y Ex Port cask, 60,1%.

"very geiler st Lucia and incredibly balanced! I like very much! especially this fresh pineapple mint note, caramelized coconut chips, light acid Hintenraus after red berries and discreet nougat, toffee and allspice and various citrusđŁsuper tasty, for me my absolute drinking strength reference at st Lucia!đđ±đš"
Chairmanâs Reserve 1931
Top review from Mirko Frosini đźđȘ:
"A rum between Spanish, French and English thanks to a hybrid distillation. Well balanced and not too intense with a pleasant caramel and never cloying thanks also to the barrel/oak aroma with a coffee, chocolate and lychee/mango finish giving it depth. Medium-long finish."
Admiral Rodney Officer's Releases N1

"15.05.2020 Went out for a nice dinner bringing some bottles. Notes Dark in colour. Nose Wood, roasted, plum, light chocolate, clove, orange, Port. Palate Warm, wood, roasted, light coconut, chocolate, clove, dried fruit, spicy. Finish Medium to long, wood, roasted, dried fruit, light chocolate, spicy."
Chairmanâs Reserve Vintage
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"Overall an powerful, complex, fruity, spicy and smoky rum. Bought two bottles of this rum from Svet NĂĄpojov in Slovakia. The brand Chairmanâs Reserve from Saint Lucia Distillers (SLD) saw the day of light in 1999 under supervision of Laurie Barnard, and is today their most appreciated rum if you ask me. SLD use molasses imported from the Dom. Rep. and some sugar cane juice from sugar cane grown in Saint Lucia. They use open tanks for fermentation and four different stills, one Coffey column and three different pot stills. All their rum is tropically aged on site mostly in ex-Bourbon casks, but sometimes also in Port casks. The 2009 is their second released vintage. Itâs entirely molasses based distilled in their Coffey Still and two of the pot stills (John Dore II & Vendome). Thereafter the different distillates was aged separately for 11 years in ex-Bourbon casks whereafter it was blended and married for some more weeks before bottled at ABV 46%."
Chairmanâs Reserve Legacy
Top review from Kevin Sorensen đ©đ°:
"Compared to the other releases from the Chairman's reserve I'd say this one is more refined and complex in the taste. A wonderful funky nose transcending into a wonderful complex palate with a spicy entry and a fruity touch to the end. The finish is long, deep and has complexity to it. This is a blend of 7.5 years John Dore, 7 years Vendome, 5.5 years Coffey RR104 and a 5 years John Dore. "
Admiral Rodney HMS Royal Oak / Extra Old
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"A little too weak in my opinion except for the tobacco taste, but despite that fruits, oak and some spiciness is recognizable in the nose and flavors of fruits, chocolate, vanilla and spices as well at the palate."
Chairmanâs Reserve The Forgotten Casks
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"Itâs distilled in Coffey and Pot stills and then first aged separately before blended and aged for three more years. Total aging is six to eleven years.I think itâs a little bit better than their classic Reserve. In the front of the mouth it doesnât taste very much, but when you swallow it all flavors arrive and stays there trough the rather long finish."
Chairmanâs Reserve Spiced Original
Top review from Lutz Lungershausen :
"The rich spice notes make it exciting and complex, but mask the rum character and push it somewhat in the direction of herbal liqueurs. Still: I like the fruity nose and the fresh, lively palate"
Admiral Rodney HMS Formidable
Top review from MarcT:
"Got this as a present for Christmas, never reviewed it. Strange! To the nose it reminds me of a sweet and sour, think sirupy Marmelade, of the sort I would like to have on my toast, right now. On the tongue, it's more of the same, more wood. Unfortunately is a bit watery, due to the low ABV, but does also gjve a long and heavy mouthfeel. What that would have been at a higher ABV. In the end there is a bit freshness as well... Mint perhaps? It's faint. It must be said, however, that this bottle has been open for quite some time now, and thus had lots time to breathe. The Rum is well made, for the mainstream market obviously, but makes a nice uncomplicated drink by the side. Enjoy! I finished this bottle now, and found that time did not do it well on the end. It got a bit watery in taste, which makes me subtract a point."
Chairmanâs Reserve Original
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"Most people wants to find rum with good value for money. Well, here it is. Itâs very hard to find anything better for this amount of money. The only one I found is the English Harbour 5yo. Itâs a blend of separately aged rums in ex-Bourbon barrels distilled from Coffey and pot stills. After blended itâs aged for six months more in oak vats. The average age of the blend is 5 years. Thereâs really something special with its flavours and nice afterburn. After what I have heard itâs the most consumed rum in St. Lucia. So it canât be more karibik. This is a very good everyday rum to a very low price."
Admiral Rodney HMS Princessa
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"Overall I think that all of it are there, but everythingâs to weak. The nose fruity and round with aromas of Raisins, vanilla, honey and tobacco. At the palate and during the medium long finish itâs fruity, spicy and sweet with flavors of vanilla, honey, raisins, tobacco, oak and caramel."
