"A Cuban at cask strength is not so common. Nose fruity and also somehow meaty, a little vanilla, a little wood but not intense. Alcoholically spicy on the palate. Fruits and spices take a back seat to the wood and roasted notes. Pleasant mild finish with spice, barrel, roasted aromas and a little dried fruit. Good Cuban rum."

"The finish works quite well here but also dominates the profile. Intensity is pretty good given the low ABV, however, the finish adds a lot of sweetness. While the sherry is dominating, adding red fruits and a smooth mouthfeels, the profile is not overly complex."

"The key data made me very curious. Cubans are becoming more and more popular, it seems. Unfortunately, I haven't had a really good one yet. This ron is dominated by the PX cask. Otherwise, there is a dull interplay of aromas of dark chocolate, tobacco and burnt sugar. The alcohol could be better integrated. I continue my search for THE Cuban. Thanks @BananaJoe for the sample."
