Kuna Davidoff Of Geneva Cigar Cask Finish
Top review from Kevin Sorensen 🇩🇰:
"A nice surprise with a lot of smoke on the nose and barely any smoke on the palate. The barrel is there from nose to finish. Pretty well balanced. The price is pretty high for such a young rum."

"#4824 26.08.2024 A nice evening with both old and new faces in Odense. Nose Wood, light roasted, cherry, vanilla, light caramel, banana, light nutts. Palate Medium intense, wood, warm, faint smoke, cherry, spice, light caramel, naturally sweet. Finish Medium long, warm, banana, light tannins, wood, faint chocolate, dried fruit,"
Abuelo XII Two Oaks
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"Got this 5cl sample in my second batch from Rum Ratings Tasting Club and participated in the virtual tasting yesterday. The Abuelo XII Two Oaks is a 12yo rum stored in two different types of oak barrels. First on traditional Tennessee whiskey / bourbon casks during 11 years, and then a final storage on deep-fried casks of new American white oak. It’s produced from both molasses and sugar cane juice by Varela Hermanos. The sugar content is 24 gpl, so it’s sweet but not extremely sweet."
Abuelo XV Oloroso
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"Got a sample of this in my second batch from Rum Ratings Tasting Club and participated in the virtual tasting yesterday. The Abuelo XV Oloroso is 15 years old and is first matured in American oak casks to be finished in Oloroso Sherry casks. Overall it’s very sweet, natural or not, read somewhere that a hydrometer test gave 44 gpl. The finish is medium long. "
Abuelo XV Tawny
Top review from Kevin Sorensen 🇩🇰:
"This is one of the 3 releases of the XV and it's pretty good actually. The nose starts off with a lot of caramel, in a good way, then goes into candied fruits wit some oakiness to it. The palate continues with the fruits and some leather and spices. The Port cask is definitely there and I like it. The finish is medium to long, astringent with vanilla and sweetness to it. Price to quality is good. "
Abuelo Centuria
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"Got this sample in my second batch from Rum Ratings Tasting Club and participated in the virtual tasting yesterday. It’s produced from molasses in a multi column still whereafter it’s aged in Jack Daniel’s barrels using the Solera method. The oldest drops is said to be 30yo. Overall it’s very smooth but a little too sweet for me (hydrometer tests I’ve read indicates 27gpl of sugar), I should probably liked it even more with a little higher ABV which should balance the sweetness."
Ron Abuelo Añejo XII Años (Three Angels)
Top review from LukaŽiga:
"8,8:On the nose, the first impression we get are very attractive prunes with smoky bacon and creamy butterscotch. There are very tempting yellow bourbon fruits and charred wood with cream toffee, caramel, roasted nuts, perhaps nougat and dried, candied fruits. When aired a bit, mol gives us vegetal notes with floral touch, perfumed. There is another layer of charring the wood with chocolate, cocoa. We could find some vanilla, confectionery with tempting biscuits. The fruits are berries, perhaps bluberries. Very round and complex. 8,7:On the palate, the attack is sweet, thick, oil and delicious with dried figs, prunes, candied fruits and tropical fruits like banana, papaya. The wood is roasted, charred, a bit spicy, as there is very gourmet caramel, toffee, vanilla, caramelized nuts. We could notice both bourbon and sherry notes. The molasses is thick and vegetal, creamy, there are tobacco, flowery notes. As our tasting buds would be enjoying very juicy, melted fruit marmelade with smoky touch and bacon😉. Round and tasty, even if just a bit sweet. . 8,7:The finish is long and tasty, balanced, as most of palate notes linger for quite some time.... 😋👌"
Panama Rum
Top review from SaibotZtar :
"In der Nase kribbelt erstmal der Alkohol... dann kommt Karamell und etwas Schokolade. Etwas Cassis und Dürrpflaume .... Am Gaumen ist der Alkohol sehr brennend und nicht wirklich gut eingebunden. Schokolade und Karamell auch hier ... Frucht ist im Mund kaum etwas zu spüren... es dominieren schärfe , Holz und generell Bitternoten."
