"Nicely balance column profile on the nose. Caramel, milk chocolate and wood. There are also quite some tropical fruits. I get overripe mangos on particular. Nice. Same sensation on the palate. Wood, some tropical and citrus fruits and salted caramel. Definitely a high quality column rum. Not quite Guyana territory in my book, yet a very good and interesting contender. From memory pretty close to the NRJ release. Edit: Having both side-by-side the NRJ delivers a bit more power and „sparkle“. The AW comes with a bit more wordiness but also more fruits. Still both are noticably the same stuff and both good bottlings."

"Tasted at Whisky Live Paris 2024 - quick tasting notes, you've been warned. Aie aie aie! very disappointed, the bottle is pretty, but the juice is bland :( I was very keen to buy it if I liked it, but I didn't. Lots of vanilla, a little tropical fruit, average finish, no punch..."
