Velier Hampden FIFTEEN - Aged 15 Years 2025
Highly praised Hampden with a world‑class nose, refined esters and well-integrated oak; many find it an elegant, complex daily sipper despite wishing for a bit more punch and a saner price.
A rum tasted at Whisky Live Paris in 2025. A nose of controlled esters, glue and wood varnish. Overripe fruit, supporting wood and a fullness that can only be achieved with long years of maturation in a tropical climate. The palate is lively, full-bodied with overripe tropical fruit, esters and old varnished wood. Vanilla sweetness too. The finish is rather long, with more pronounced wood. A surprising release, the overall design is reminiscent of Hampden's rather mainstream series for a rum to which age lends surprising depth.Read more

Auto-translated#5814 28.09.2025 Day two of the Whisky Live 2025, which this year looks better organized/arranged inside. This is a pretty well balanced rum with lots of natural sweetness. Fruity with nice spices andlight glue notes, marzipan and chocolate.
Pas ma came.
Very interesting and complex Hampden blend. Higher ester level than expected, while still very accessible and balanced. A good amount of wood on the palate with fruits and spices. Yet the blend components seem to fight each other at times rather than creating a continuous profile.
