Rumclub Private Selection Ed. 60 Galapagos 2015
Most enjoy its sweet, spiced, cocoa‑caramel profile and easy drinking. Critics miss Agricole character and deeper complexity, finding some bitterness and youthful wood. Consensus: good, cozy, but not mind‑blowing.
On the palate, it definitely has a surprising sweetness for an unsweetened rum. The mouthfeel is a bit on the oily/viscous side. Along with the described spices, vanilla, and caramel, there are also some fruity notes. The finish is long and spice- as well as wood-focused; I find it quite smooth here too, an easy sipper. The relaxed ABV fits well with this.Read more

Auto-translated#6312 06/08.02.2026 My first visit to The Village in Nuremberg and it was a very pleasant surprise. I will definitely attend again as there is more than enough rum going around. This is a very decent rum that is floral and ends up a bit like perfume over time. At the same time it is also light and fruity with a good balance overall.
