"1994 Velier Caronis are simply a case of their own, extremely dirty and intense. Lots of menthol compared to other vintages. I like younger bottlings, like this one, better. They seem rounder. However, this bottling lacks a few more turns for a better rating, and the finish is a little bitter."

"Rather balanced Caroni with a great nose that has lots of fruit, caramel, nice roasted notes and (by tropical Caroni standards) rather restrained wood maturity with nice oak notes and relatively little bitterness / menthol notes. Dirt is there, but the fruit has plenty of room. I really like the nose, but a few percent more on the palate could definitely help."
