"In nose it’s quite pleasant, but in mouth, at palate and during the medium long finish it then becomes supersweet which destroy this rum completely for me. The rather high ABV of 57,5% can’t balance the sweetness at all. Another interesting thing about this rum, is that it’s possible to find a rum with exactly the same label with the name Ron Esclavo instead of Patridom. "

"Far better balance and ABV integration than the XO cask but still sweet on the palate. I'd say this is this far the best of the new ones after changing the name of the release."

"Sanft an der Nase, erinnert stark an Pampero Aniversario, auch wenn der aus Venezuela stammt. Der Geschmack lässt einiges erahnen, wird aber von viel Zucker überdeckt. Dadurch ist er aber auch sehr sanft für die fast 60%"

"The nose is straight up disagreeable with sharp acetone. The taste gives a surprisingly well-rounded flavor of cola and caramel, not bad at all for 57%. I would use this as a cocktail rum considering the low price tag."
