CDI Foursquare Barbados 2011 10yr 57,3%
Distilled at Foursquare in Barbados, this 2011 Compagnie des Indes selection undergoes pot and column still distillation, aged 10 years at cask strength (57.3% ABV). Limited to 327 bottles, it melds potent notes of vanilla, chocolate, and roasted nuts with a pronounced alcoholic aroma. While users appreciate its balanced complexity and Foursquare's characteristic profile, others note a sharp alcoholic edge and bitterness in taste. Ideal for enthusiasts of robust, limited-edition rums, its densely spiced and fruity undertones call for allowing time to breathe to ease its assertive ABV profile. This selection is a noteworthy acquisition for collectors and those admiring the storied crafting of Caribbean rums.

“Quite alright. The alcohol could be better integrated. I had hoped for more”

“Here ones again the bitterness ruins this rum on the home stretch! A shame!!! and it starts so well, nice brown sugar in the nose. It is cask picks like that where it really starts a little bit like hit or miss, if it werent FS...”

“18.06.2022 Running through some samples at home. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Light wood, faint smoke, pineapple, light coconut, faint chocolate, spice. Palate Wood, light roasted, fruity, pineapple, light coconut, light chocolate, spice, faint vegetal. Finish Medium long, light wood, dried fruit, light citrus, faint chocolate, light orange. Extra note. Needs to rest for a good while or the ABV will overshadow the more subtle flavours. ABV integration could have been better.”
