Famille Ricci 7th Symphony Marie-Galante Barbados 1yr - 4yr 49%
The 7th Symphony Marie-Galante Barbados rum offers a unique blend of woods, coconut, and vanilla aromas, stemming from its aging in seven different barrel types. Selected by Famille Ricci, this rum comes from a blend of Bielle and Foursquare distilleries, distilled from molasses and sugarcane juice and aged from 1 to 4 years. Tasting notes emphasize a woody character with hints of peaches, coconut, and bitter orange. With an ABV of 49%, this rum has received mixed feedback regarding its complexity and finish. Users appreciate its balance and aromatic depth but note its youthful feel and somewhat closed palate. “Bielle notes at the beginning, but very fresh. Could do with longer storage. I can't really taste any foursquare.”

“Blend 1/3 bielle blanc, 2/3 Foursquare 3 years old. The blend is aged for 1 year in 7 different small wooden casks (acacia, mahogany, minuzara, amburana, French, American and black oak). Bottled at 49%. The result is an inevitably complex, yet balanced rum. Surprisingly, it smells more of bielle than Foursquare. The first impression on the nose is of wood, followed by freshness and fruit once oxidized. On the palate, it's the other way round: fruit first, then woody aromas continue through to the rather medium finish. For the price, it's a fine piece of work!”
