“A rum tasted at Rhum Fest in 2024. The nose is woody, with an impression of barrels that aren't very clean, with vegetal notes and some fruit. On the palate, alas, the musty wood is more pronounced and takes much of the pleasure out of tasting it. A pity, since this rum also develops fine aromas and a certain sweetness.”

“Un rhum agricole de gamme permanente qui vient étoffer l’arsenal de Trois Rivières. Le nez est typique de la distillerie : si on retrouve le côté boisé et épicé ainsi que la canne fraîche et mielleuse, ce sont surtout les notes herbacées et iodées qui apportent à ce Trois Rivières une petite touche de fantaisie. Un nez simple mais varié. L’attaque en bouche est plutôt directe : les notes végétales, terreuses, iodées et les herbes ont investi le palais. Le bois accentue le côté sec tandis que les notes agricoles offrent presque un peu de fraîcheur en bouche. Les fruits secs, le tabac et les épices peinent à imposer leurs saveurs dans ce palais un peu fermé. L’alcool est bien intégré pour un faible degré. La finale est de longueur moyenne, poussée par la canne à sucre, les notes agricoles et une légère amertume inattendue. Le boisé et les épices ont une influence minime, tandis que les fruits ont complètement disparu. Ce n’est pas un mauvais rhum, mais son manque de profondeur et de complexité aromatique lui font défaut et il fait hélas pâle figure face à d’autres rhums de la catégorie XO.”

“Le nez me fait penser immanquablement à du melon au porto ! Surement l'influence des fûts de cognac. Surprenant pour un martiniquais. La bouche est plus classique. Plus herbacé et épicée. J'aime moins... Final moyenne dans la continuité de la bouche.”
