"Almost transparent, this rum resembles an old Jamaican stale diluted with herbs, a light funk and tropical fruit. On the palate, the alcohol is present, then some fruit, green apple and mirabelle plum. And then that's it. Like an extreme dilution of aromas. The fruit saves a lacklustre finish. Absolutely no Caroni here, not on the nose, not on the palate, not even in the empty glass. My first "Providence", a total disappointment for a Caroni fan, but not a bad rum, just without depth or relief."

"28.03.2015 Whiskymessen Out for myself this time and met up with new enthusiasts and we had a great party after the event. Notes Light in colour. Nose Light, light wood, mint, herbs, light fruits, plum. Palate Thin, diluted, light wood, plum, dried fruit, light mint. Finish Short, light wood, thin, diluted, dried fruit, light mint."

"Die Nase identifizert es als Rum. Im Mund allerdings kommt ausgesprochen wenig durch auf Grund der ordentlichen Reduktion. Schmeckt nach im Wasser eingelegten Gummibären. Wenig prickelnd und nicht als Caroni identifizerbar. Ist absolut trinkbar, hat aber für mich keine Identität."

"Herbal water. A little mint flavor in the middle of the tongue. Unfortunately extremely watery, but 40% rum from "back in the day", that's how it was. A nice rarity, but nothing you have to drink."
