The "Optimum Proof" was produced in Reunion at the Isautier distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Le Gus‘t. It was distilled in 2010 from Sugar cane juice and then aged for 13 years. The rum has an ABV of 58,6%. This is a limited release and there are only 357 bottles.

“nach dem Velier Isautier 16 war die Erwartungshaltung schon recht groß…und ich finde, der Le Gus‘t enttäuscht nicht! An der Nase macht sich das Cognac-Fass positiv bemerkbar. Die frischen, floralen Noten werden schön kompensiert durch Fruchtbonbon, Trauben und Malz. Am Gaumen super smooth (für einen Agricole), um nicht zu sagen, süffig. Im Abgang herb-frisch.”
