“A brutal nose of solvents, glue and esters. Fruits are in the background. There are also flowers and almost pure vanilla. Apart from a slightly acqueous entry, the palate is also rather violent. But there are also deviant aromas of rottenness and manure. The finish is long, but the deviant aromas are still there. The last rum in these two series, and although it has its qualities, it's still hard to drink.”

“Letzter heute, diesmal der DOK der Hampden 8 Marks Collection 1 year. Eine absolut top Ester Bombe. Genau mein Ding. Zusätzlich in der Nase noch eine leicht fruchtige Note, sowie Lösungsmittel zu erkennen. Am Gaumen dann ebenfalls noch leicht fruchtig. Lecker.”

“Sensorisch bin ich nun am Ende der Fahnenstange angelangt. Nichts desto trotz: die Nase äußerst intensiv. Klar der Esther. Rote Steinfrucht würde ich sagen. Vielleicht in der zweiten Verkostung etwas anderes :-D für mich aufgrund des hohen Ester Gehaltes den Bogen überspannt.”
