“Hampden 8 Marks Collection 1 year. We are slowly getting into the high ester range. This one (HGML) certainly has plenty of esters to offer. Apart from that, you can still sense tropical fruits, but mainly esters.”

“Le plus beau nez, complexe, floral, avec des esters, du miel, de l’ananas, de la framboise et du végétal. Un petit côté poussière. La bouche n’est pas en retrait avec des bonbons aux herbes, des esters, du miel de fleurs et une amertume qui donne envie d’y revenir. La plus belle finale, longue, élégante et complexe. Un rhum presque accompli avec seulement une année de fût, à l’exception d’un léger goût de poussière de bois.”

“Komplexe tiefe Nase. Schokolade und Karamell. Nicht zu überladen jedoch ausgewogen. Im Geschmack sehr schwer mit starkem Esther. Hält im Abgang lange an. Für mich ist der Bogen an estriger Komplexität nun überspannt und die 8 marks collection fällt in meiner Bewertung nun wieder ab.”
