“O.k. o.k., this one is a lot better than the one with the Madeira finish. CoR has probably just got its act together. The finish doesn't overpower everything here. The smell is rather dominated by the glue. In the mouth, it comes across as sharp-edged and the alcohol is not really well integrated. A rum with a certain oomph in the mouth. But much better than the Madeira. An unpleasant acidity emerges again in the finish.”

“Erneut viel Fruchtester und Tropenfrüchte, dazu intensive medizinische Noten, die bis ins Bitter wirkende übergehen. Der Alkohol ist präsent und könnte noch etwas Zähmung vertragen, wobei auch etwas Oxidation bereits hilft. Im Abgang ein ständiges Wechselspiel aus Estern und medizinischen Aromen, gewissermassen der überreife Tropenfruchtstand kurz vor dem Operationssaal. Das Süssweinfinish nehme ich hier gar nicht allzu dominant war, einzig im Abgang wird etwas mehr der schweren Süsse deutlicher erkennbar. Kann mich der sehr verhaltenen Gesamtwertung nicht anschliessen, das Release liefert, was zu erwarten ist - nicht mehr, aber auch nicht weniger.”
