“This bottling is pretty different from the regular Barbados rums out there and you get the Marsala from nose to finish. The nose is fruity with spices and coconut. Though the alcohol is tingling the nimose the rum is still fresh and woody in the nose. The palate is complex again with lots of fruit and some tea and bourbon. The palate is slightly buttery with toasted oak and some nuts. The finish is long and dry with fruits, vanilla and a handsome dose of oak.”

“Somehow too woody, too roasty and the dilution doesn't do the rum any good in my opinion. Overall, not a particularly well-rounded foursquare...”
