Chairman’s Reserve 1931 - 5th Edition 12yr 46%
Chairman’s Reserve 1931 - 5th Edition from Saint Lucia gains popularity as a highly complex rum. Distilled from molasses and aged for 12 years, this limited-release rum offers a blend of vanilla, caramel, and oak flavors with spicy undertones, making it a refined choice for connoisseurs. Critics appreciate its remarkable complexity, largely due to two different pot stills and column distillate blends. The rum’s 46% ABV provides a perfectly balanced finish, though some users note a slightly overwhelming alcoholic taste. With only 686 bottles available, it’s both exclusive and intricate, appealing to those who enjoy diverse flavor profiles.

“It’s very complex and it’s no wonder when you know that it’s a blend of two different pot stills distillates, column distillate and also Agricole. The only negative is a little too much alcoholic taste.”

“This bottling has an ultra-complex bouquet of honey, ripe fruits, vanilla, caramel and oak and in the mouth a nice big fullness with fruity notes and nuts and perfectly balanced wood influence. The finish is perfectly balanced and it is, if anything, a challenging rum, but in a really cool way.”
