How does this rum taste?
- Complex, well-balanced aroma
- Elegant agricole character
- Limited edition collector’s piece
Crafted in Martinique at the Saint James distillery, the J. Bally Art Déco is a uniquely aged 18-year-old rum produced from fresh sugarcane juice via a Creole column. Our community of rum enthusiasts has noted its delightful woody aroma intertwined with hints of orange peel, sugarcane, and fresh floral notes, while the palate surprises with nuances of grapefruit, cinnamon, and dark chocolate. Many RumX members appreciate its elegant balance and the subtle evolution from its aromatic opening to a slightly spicier finish. Although some find the intensity of the taste a bit subdued compared to the nose, the overall experience remains sophisticated and true to its agricole roots. This limited release, with just 3000 bottles, is a special addition to any connoisseur’s collection.

"Compared to the second release this one lack a bit. It is of course a younger model, but it can still keep up I think. Lightly woody with fruits from nose to finish. Lovely spices appear on the palate and finish nicely balanced with chocolate and caramel/toffee. There is a flowery hint i there and a medicinal hint i can't put my finger on. Price to quality is very good."
