“Bought this bottle for over a year ago from Catawiki. Rhum HSE is produced at the Le Simon distillery in Martinique. It’s distilled in a Creole column and then aged for more than 3 years in American oak barrels whereafter it’s aged for more than 8 months in casks previously used for Port wine. Overall one of the best port cask finished rums I’ve tasted.”

“HSE delivers always great Rums! I thought this would be more on the sweeter/porter side, opposite this is a rum where the Port Barrel had a great impact on the rum without overwhelming. I enjoyed this a lot🤤”

“For fans of port finishes an absolute no-brainer. HSE is one of my favorites from Martinique and the finish is very well implemented. It gives the Agricole a lot of berry fruit and red wine flavor. Definitely sweeter and less dry in the mouth than other Agricoles, but also fruitier! The finish tames the rum and makes it smoother. I like it very much!”
