"7,2:The resolutely buttery nose of this rum does not detract from its expressiveness, which from the very first moments gives an impression of balance. Simple but well orchestrated, it spreads its spices (cinnamon and especially pepper) and roasted nuts. The coconut is soft and slightly roasted, this sweetness balances quite rightly a small metallic and smoky side that flirts with quince paste. This aspect underlines a lively and tense side of the rum which does not spread out in greediness, just like the caramel which is well present but without giving a sweet impression. The candied orange peel has swollen in these vapours and adds thickness. Aeration is defenitely needed, it takes the power up a notch. The heavier and more concentrated aromas come out with a little polish. At this point, the buttery side is forgotten, the smoky/metallic Trinidadian style asserts itself once again. Jamaica is also present, with its famous "funk" of extremely ripe exotic fruits, and especially banana. More eccentricity then, but also a little more hardness, with a very black wood, although nicely waxed. A cherry or pear brandy bursts at times to bring freshness and dynamism. 7:The entry in the mouth is very soft, with a very light consistency. The tobacco and light leather notes quickly give way to a good woody phase, then to the smoky and metallic side, which itself gradually approaches a very dark cocoa. An oxidised compote of rustic apples brings sweetness and thickness, the balance is quickly established by the toasted wood. 7:The finish is reminiscent of a light metallic touch, molasses, caramel and vanilla. Instead of 6, the rum gets +7 from me, aeration saved the day for it... 👍"

"This is an OK rum for sipping and also a good rum for beginners. The nose has orange and maple whe poured and once rested for a while you get brow. Sugar, nuts and cinnamon. The palate is kind of light and sweet with oak and vanilla and a bit of nuts. The finish is medium long with oak and cinnamon."

"Un rhum foncé d’apparence. Le nez est équilibré sur le bois vernis et les fruits secs. La bouche est elle aussi agréable avec un côté caramel/vanillé en plus. La finale est raisonnablement longue mais plutôt unilatérale. Un excellent rapport qualité/prix, au-dessus du Jamaïque et très largement au-dessus du très sucré Barbados du même T. Sonthi."

"Will probably be Angostura at cask strength, has for me personally despite the relatively short maturation time too much wood influence and a slight spiciness as with ginger. Hintenraus but also something slightly dirty interesting, almost burnt caroni-like in the finish but just very minimal."

"Surprisingly little sweet for a spiced. Also only 14g per liter. The spices/fruits pineapple, ginger, cocoa, coffee, mace, clove & star anise all come through nicely without dominating too much. Especially in rum cola with lime or with ginger ale, I think this spiced rum for 20€ is absolutely fine."

"Powerful and edgy through and through, but also dedicated not thought pure.fruit becomes wood and leather. Strong alcohol, spicy sweetness. Discreet charge of glue and smoke. Suits everything that is declared in the recipe as 'Overproof' and that well. Not so for everything else. Needs contrast flavors and acidity above all else.Addendum: whew, the 57% really isn't particularly well integrated. Even with 10 minutes breathing still schnapsig sharp."

"Australian Rums Tasting, Rum Club Switzerland. Un nez de fruits tropicaux, des herbes sèches, des fruits secs et une pointe d’ananas. Un nez subtil, équilibré avec un alcool très bien intégré. Une belle entrée de bouche, chaleureuse avec des fruits secs et un côté herbacé. La finale est un peu courte avec du boisé/vanillé tout à la fin. Un rhum équilibré mais un peu faible au nez et en finale."

"Der weiße fällt natürlich etwas ab von den Lantenhammers, ist aber immer noch ein ganz okayer Rum. In der Nase geht er Richtung Obstler, im Gaumen dann ebenfalls Obstler und noch dazu schmeckt er fruchtig und mild. Für einen weißen echt okay."

"07.2024 Erster Eindruck: süß und weich Nase: Vanille, Schkolade, Pudding Gaumen: süß, weich, rund, MilchSchokolade, Vanille, leichter Anflug von Röstaromen Abgang: kaum wahrnehmbar, da merkt man das bisschen Alkohol erstmals Gesamteindruck: nur als oder zum Dessert, Bewertung bleibt bei 6,9 2023 Mit nur 32% ABV sowie reichlich zugesetztem Rohrzucker und Aromen ist er fernab von einem lupenreinen Rum. Aber für nur ca. 20€ bekommt man ein harmonisches tropisch-rundes flüssiges Dessert."

"Verkostet auf der Village in Nürnberg. Nase leicht floral mit einer guten Portion Aplfel, Birne und getrockneter Feige. Am Gaumen dann auch Schokolade mit dabei und deutlich würzigen und weniger floral. Ganz stimmig, aber nicht ganz mein Stil."

"Das neue Falernum von uns bei Perola. Die Basis bilden Barbados und Jamaica Rum um etwas Fruchtigkeit und Würze und minimal funk mit reinzubringen. Tonkabohne, Mandeln, Piment, Zimt und Nelken werden dezent von Ingwer und Muskatnuss ergänzt. Auf Limette haben wir bewusst verzichtet, da diese eh frisch in fast jedem Falernum Cocktail dazu kommt und die Haltbarkeit verändert hätte. Ein meiner Meinung nach wirklich gut gewordenes Falernum, welches insbesondere im Royal Bermuda Yacht Club und im Dead spicy lady eine sehr gute Figur macht!"

"Bonpland Serie, hier Panama 14 Jahre. Soweit ganz okay. In der Nase hat man geröstete Mandeln. Außerdem schmeckt man das Fass und er kommt rauchig rüber. Im Gaumen dann, Vanille, Toffee, Karamell und dunkle Schokolade. Ist ok."

"Reiht sich gut als nun dauerhaft verfügbarer Nachfolger der beiden ersten Limited Editions ein. Der Sherry Einfluss ist nicht zu dominant, nur der Blend an sich ist nicht ganz so harmonisch wie bei den beiden Vorgänger Editionen meiner Meinung nach. Ohne ester hätte er mir vermutlich besser gefallen. Für 45€ kann man aber nicht meckern."

"Flüssiges Salzkaramell zum trinken 😆 sehr witzige neue Auflage von Razels. Als shot für Naschkatzen oder eher Dessert-artige Drinks ist das eine wirklich nette und gut gemachte Spielerei. Stell ich mir geil mit Schlagsahne und Apfelkompott und French toast oder Pfannkuchen vor😆 Den Alkoholgehalt der andern Editionen mit 38% statt 26% hätte ich bevorzugt aber gut, trotzdem lecker."
