Great House (Distillery Edition 2023)
Top review from Gunnar Böhme "Bauerngaumen" 🤓:
"Blind tasting 01.02.2024, 2nd rum of the evening Nose: But now Jamaica! Some kind of low ester, I would say. Palate: A little too sour for me, seems one-dimensional, but the alcohol is well integrated. But stick with Jamaica. An HGML? The Younger perhaps? Resolution: Wow, the latest GH, really? I would have expected more."
Pagos Sherry (Batch 2)
Top review from Galli33:
"I prefer the Pagos 2023 over the last years edition! This has more „Hampden“ power and the Sherry barrel is integrated much better (due the change of the barrels… maybe?) and the sherry stays more in the background like a faithful campanion and fit perfect with the Hampden flavours. Grilled pineapple meets sour cherries overwhelmed by esters 🤤🥃 The alcohol is very present, i would say typical for a young Hampden."
Papalin Réunion
Top review from Rodolphe:
"I wasn't a fan of the Papalin range until now. But La Velier has come up with a very good Reunionese at a nice price. It's a perfect representation of the rhums trad found there, with the fruity side of the grand aroma, present but not overpowering. It drinks well, is pleasant, vegetal, floral, woody and fruity. A great success. In the end, it's what I expected from savanna's Le Must, which doesn't emphasize the fruitiness of the grand arôme enough. This is the case here."

"12.10.2024 Romhatten Velier tasting. Retasting and I still like it, price to quality is very good in my mind. ----------------- #4565 20.01.2024 Relaxing a bit today ☺️ This is a nice release with nice fruits and light spices. The glue and solvent notes are light and actually becomes the profile. The palate is oily, warm and naturally sweet with some added anise. The finish is medium long and also lightly sweet. The empty glass has medicinal and faint smoky notes."
Art of Rhum by Vast
Top review from Oliver:
"Tasted for the first time at ProWein in Düsseldorf. Lots of green apple and herbs (dill?) on the nose. On the palate creamy sweet (in a positive sense) and spicy floral. Some nutmeg and green fruits again. After half an hour the rum opens up and you are rewarded with a great balanced profile. Spicy, some floral and a pleasant sweetness. Alcohol very well integrated."
Vieux Sajous (LMDW)
Top review from Thunderbird:
"The successor to Sajous is quite similar to its predecessor, but doesn't quite come close. It is much tamer than the latter, which some people may like better, as it is somewhat rounder and more palatable. The range of aromas is very good and varied (fruit, spice, sugar cane)"

Top review from LukaŽiga:
"8,8:On the nose we firstly find cinnamon buns😄! When we move forward there is a cooperation between zesty lemon and olive/almondy oil top note that goes through and over delicious caramel with notes of white chocolate, fresh ginger and dried, toasted coconut. Airing brings toasted wood and fresh, juicy tropical fruits, bourbon fruits like stewed peaches, juicy prunes and some dried fruits as well. Pure deliciousness.... 😋. 9,2:On the palate we are attacked with treacle tart and vanilla ice cream covered with juicy sultanas, tropical fruits like tasty mango and passion fruit, poached bourbony summer fruits and crispy, tender tart plums at the end.We get a little bit of drieness here which is in harmony with fruity sweetness. 9,2:The finish is extraordinary with blueberry, connecting the notes of fresh ginger, black cherry, with a warm finish, lingering drieness and pepper, sweet spice at the end. If we compare 2010 and 2011, this one is even more rounded, harmonious, complex and very smooth. No afterburn at all, inspite of 60% ABV. TOP👌🙂..."

Top review from Dr.Django:
"Second tasting: My initial rating of 73 points surprised me when I tasted it again, because I actually found the aromas of candied gum, fruit, sugar water and some herbs quite successful. Afterwards, however, I quickly realized what bothered me: the "artificial strawberry yoghurt" finish."
Lontan 57.5 Grand Arôme
Top review from Oliver:
"Extremely fruity pineapple note - pure summer! Just the right level of power on the palate paired with typical Grand Arôme aromas. Great fun on its own and also makes really tasty daiqiris. An absolute recommendation in the white rum segment!"

"#4813 16.08.2024 Having a relaxing afternoon and evening with Joël from Switzerland. Nose Fresh, fruity, pineapple, light floral, faint honey, light wood. Palate Warm, fresh, light wood, fruity, overripe, light pineapple, lightly sweet, light ester, faint chocolate. Finish Long and warm, light wood, faint roasted, fruity, light banana, faint chocolate. The empty glass has a nice herbal touch as well as light mint."

"#4250 16.09.2023 Whisky N Rum Show 2023 Finally back after a day in Copenhagen. I really hate sitting in a train 2.5 hours each way 😁 Just needed a cool down rum and the new Romdeluxe was the pick. The nose is kind of light and fruity with a bit of funk, ester and polish. The palate on the other hand pretty nice and intense. Light fruit with roasted wood notes and esters. The palate is oily and smooth with a long finish. Draws amazing curtains in the glass and the empty glass has some nutts and light anise. Price to quality is pretty good in my mind."

"Edit: now that the first people have had a chance to taste the new stuff, I'll add my tasting notes and my rating. I didn't want to spoil anything. But as it turns out, I'm not the only one who is enthusiastic about this bottling. After a brief sip while sampling: Makes you want more, goes more in the direction of the Kirsch, GotA&RumX bottlings so my first impression. Alcohol well integrated and quite drinkable."

"28.08.2024 Retasting after another sample was open for a few hours and then closed again. Today the sample has very different notes than at the first sampling. --------------------------- #4778 13.07.2024 Relaxing with a little sample 😊 This is very far from an Enmore and what you'd expect. Very light/thin with citrus touch and soap like on the palate. Will try to get another sample to make sure this is correct. Just checked the empty glass and i has a perfume/soapy touch to it."

"#4870 Whisky Live in Paris 27.09.2024-30.09.2024. Another great event meeting a lot of RumX new and old friends. This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time. Nose Fresh, faint wood, fruity, light citrus, spice, light roasted, light pineapple, faint floral, ester. Palate Warm, round, balanced, faint wood, light roasted, light citrus, light banana, spice, naturally sweet, medium dry. Finish Medium long, fresh, round, fruity, light citrus, faint chocolate, medium dry, faint smoke, ester. This one is slightly better than the lower ABV release and it shows how flavours change when you add water."
Créol Straight 2022 Limited Edition
Top review from Stefan Persson:
"Overall an extremely tasty Agricole Blanc. This rum from the Savanna Distillery in Reunion is distilled in 2021 in their Savalle column and bottled after 9 months of rest in vats in 6500 bottles. It has a quite high rate of congeners of 267.3 gr/hlap."

Finish Medium long, light wood, dried fruits, light vegetal, spice, light herbal, light nutts. This one was a big disappointment and there are many far cheaper Saint James out there that can compete with this release."

"On the nose, the rum is quite talkative. Everything you would expect from a Jamaican. Unfortunately, in my opinion, it can't keep this up in the mouth. I can taste a slight bitterness in the aftertaste, which I don't find pleasant. This is also the point that prevents it from getting a better rating. Unfortunately, it's not for me neat. Not bad as a mixer, but it wouldn't necessarily be my first choice."

"Kurztrip Reunion September 2024 Was darf auf Reunion nicht fehlen? Natürlich Rum von Savanna, wobei dieser hier nicht zur Spitzenklasse gehört. Frisch und fruchtig in Nase und Gaumen, vor allem Zitrusfrüchte kommen hier zum Vorschein. Am Gaumen ist er mir aber etwas zu alkoholisch."

Top review from cigares :
"Whoo! The alcohol is well felt on the nose. But exotic fruits are not far away, fortunately! Pineapple in particular. The palate is hot and uncomplicated, but again fruits like banana. Ultra short finish with a remnant of dates. As stated on the label, not really to be sipped, more for cocktails. A few drops of water don't soften this bomb, they even make the nose worse.Amazing!"
Caroni Distillery Heavy Trinidad Rum
Top review from cigares :
"A nose of wood glue, of old wood that's not very clean. A nose of dishwashing spatula revealing an unclean barrel. The mechanical workshop is in the background. The palate is bumpy, with chaotic development. The finish finally becomes interesting when the chaos stops. But then the unclean barrel reappears. A rum that doesn't make you want to drink it. Chaotic and marked by an unclean cask."
Wild Series Rum Origin Jamaica No. 4 TECC
Top review from Thunderbird:
"Long Pond TECC ..., this strong marrow fascinates me again and again, as it does now! The nose is impetuous, full of esters, glue, yeast and fresh sugar cane. On the palate it is creamy and intense. Ester, glue, bitter orange, allspice and umami spread out. The alcohol is quite well integrated. The esters and bitter orange continue on the finish. Great I'm already looking forward to a daiquiri with it"

"#4759 22.06.2024 Nice tasting afternoon and evening with Hannes at the shop in Odense. Nose Light, light wood, faint caramel, spice, dried fruit, floral, light chocolate. Palate Light, oily, light wood, light chocolate, dried fruit, faint mint, light floral, light medicinal. Finish Medium long, light wood, light cherry, dried fruit, light medicinal, faint chocolate. This is a very light Caroni without the traditional Caroni notes. Not bad but not a Ding Ding version either."

The empty glass is fresh and has some iodine and very light mint."

"So I can't find the connection to the topic of fire and the whisky casks for myself. But that doesn't matter, or maybe it's even better that way. I like it very much. And even more so for the price. If you like this style of rum and the rum you tested is also this rum."

"14.12.2023 Retasting this one and it's still an amazing release. Despite the bottle being almost empty it has retained its beautiful flavour and balance. Would love one on my shelf but it's a bit expensive ☺️ ------------- This is a great rum with a long time in the barrel. Despite the age the wood is not super dominating and that makes this a very well balanced rum. The nose it lightly fruity and brown sugar with clear caramel right off the bat. After resting you get toasted wood and light coffee notes. The palate is very well balanced, oily and continues where the nose left off. Fruity with caramel in the front followed by nuts, chocolate, wonderful brown sugar and toasted wood. The finish is medium to long with spices, wood, cocoa and raisin. There is a light salty touch in the finish."

Top review from TheRhumhoe:
