"This rum is a fruit bomb, during the nosing a lot of fruit in addition to esters and solvants hit your face. In the mouth the rum is extremely fruity and surprisingly round."

03-04.11.2023 Den Danske Whiskyfestival. Again a special meet up besides the event itself because we think it's a bit too dull. Had a great time with friends again.
My notes.
Nose: wood, roasted, dried fruit, herbal, plum.
Palate: oily, wood, roasted, dried fruit, anise, light caramel.
Finish: medium long finish, raisin, roasted wood.
Empty glass licorice and light nougat."

I'd say this one is a bit disappointing because the other releases were pretty good on average.
Naturally sweet with fruit and light roasted wood and lightly dry on the palate.
Draws nice curtains and the empty glass is nice with stronger chocolate and a very light smoky note."

"A really great and exceptional rum! Really lots of umami on the palate. I'm very curious to see how long-stored rums from this distillery will taste."

Whisky Live in Paris 27.09.2024-30.09.2024.
Another great event meeting a lot of RumX new and old friends. This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time.
Nose
Balanced, light wood, fruits, berries, faint honey, light vegetal, faint mineral.
Palate
Round, light cognac, light vegetal, faint wood, fruits, berries, light mineral, faint caramel, light sugarcane.
Finish
Medium long, fresh, light wood, berries, faint caramel, light citrus, sugarcane, light vegetal."

Relaxing at home while preparing for a triple tasting next week, phew that's going to be a tough one.
Not too bad a rum but I think the ABV could have been better integrated.
Nose
Wood, light roasted, dried fruit, floral, light caramel, faint medicinal, light chocolate.
Palate
Wood, roasted, fruity, light nutts, chocolate, light caramel, light medicinal.
Finish
Medium long, wood, herbal, light nutts, light caramel.
The empty glass has some tobacco and faint coffee."
"This rum is so complex and well balanced that you barely recognise the high proof.
Just wow is the best way to describe this almost perfect bottle.
The price tag definitely matches the quality and if you get the chance, make sure to get a sip. "
"A successful blend for relaxed sipping in the evening. Not a complexity monster, but with gently changing aromas. More Barbados and a little Jamaica on the nose, the barrel influence and Panama are noticeable on the palate. Subtle on the palate. The alcohol is perfectly integrated.
The finish follows the palate and ends gently."
"This rum is very well balanced and complex. At full ABV it comes in very well, but when adding a few drops of water it releases a lot of flavours not present at full ABV.
Oak and fruits from nose to finish and it wanders between vegetal and herbal notes.
I like it and the price tag at release is very good."

Nice relaxing day at home with nice samples.
Notes
Light in colour.
Nose: fresh, fruity, light wood, citrus, caramel, light smoke.
Palate: oily, wood, smoke, pineapple, fruity, caramel, ester.
Finish: long and warm, wood, citrus, light caramel.
Extra note: slightly different/lighter from the previous one."
"At a first tasting, I found the rum to be extremely successful, not only for a February 2003 distillate, but also as a T.D.L overall. Initially, also on the nose, a pleasant, light sweetness, it develops again clearly with longer standing time, it becomes more and more palatable with recognizable T.D.L DNA with perfectly integrated alcohol.
Tops the comparable T.D.L from the Wu Dram Clan (RX23227) and scratches the 90-point mark for me."
