"29.01.2022 The big Caroni tasting with old rum buddies, good food, snacks and a lot of talking about old times. Notes Dark in colour. Nose Round, wood, light roasted, fruity, pineapple, workshop, light mint, faint floral. Palate Fresh, wood, light smoke, fruits, leather, mint, naturally sweet, floral, workshop. Finish Long, medium dry, wood, citrus, light chocolate."

"06.03.2020 Met up with some colleagues to give a tasting at this old iconic place. Notes. Light in colour. Nose Round, light wood, glue, caramel, raisin, licorice. Palate Balanced, light wood, natural sweetness, peach, fruity, salty, raisin. Finish Medium long, fruity, light wood, light caramel, raisin."

"Le nez est sacrément gourmand et pâtissier ! On a une belle tarte au sucre brûlé avec du fruité à gogo (de la noix de coco, de la banane, du raisin sec, des agrumes …). L’ensemble est parfaitement équilibré et harmonieux. En bouche, c’est tout aussi agréable et crémeux. On est moins sur les fruits (hormis les agrumes) mais plus sur le doux cacao et les épices. Et on retrouve ces notes de torréfaction ! La finale est longue et fine sur les épices et le boisé avec un zeste d’orange. Ma foi, il est bon ce Diamond 2001. Il me fait un peu penser au El Dorado Skeldon mais en Dark"

"21.02.2020 A small private event where we borrowed the basement bar area for a private tasting and also had a go at their food. Notes. Light in colour. Nose Intense, ester, wood, fruity, overripe, polish, light citrus. Palate Intense, warm, wood, fruity, citrus, pineapple, polish, roasted. Finish Very long, dry, wood, roasted, light chocolate, iodine, faint coffee."

This year three weren't as many new releases as in 2023, but I still had a great time. Nose Fresh, medium intense, fruity, light pineapple, overripe, banana, faint mint, light ester, faint glue. Palate Light wood, light ester, medium dry, light roasted, fruity, pineapple, spice, faint chocolate. Finish Long, light wood, faint roasted, warm, medium dry, banana, light chocolate. A pretty good release but I think the price tag is not matching what you actually get."

Finish Medium to long, wood, light roasted, fruits, light pineapple, faint citrus, medium spicy, faint chocolate. Not a bad release but the price doesn't match what you get 😊"

"A Barbados rum bottled by The Wild Parrot that's surprisingly light. There's not the slightest hint of aggressiveness either on the nose or on the palate. The nose is reserved, but one recognizes sweet spices, chocolate, some fruit (dried fruit in particular) and sweet, pastry-like flavors. The attack on the palate is very timid, with flavors struggling to break free. The same flavors quickly fade, and despite the 51.2 degrees, there's a sensation of dilution that spoils the gustatory pleasure. The finish is also relatively short and unmemorable. Unfortunately, this rum is too timid, too far behind other vintages from Barbados or Wild Parrot, and cannot compete with today's standards, except in terms of price, which here is totally excessive."
